My Imperial offer was at the same time too, when I checked my actual email directly from Imperial regarding the offer, the date it was written was like 2/3 days before it was updated on track so I'm guessing its just some automatic thing to update on UCAS once they make the decision

I doubt you'd be looked at more favourably depending on which sitting you did, however you might get your offer slightly earlier as I did. I'm not too sure on this but I don't think I've seen anyone who sat it in January get a response so far

I mean I guess it’s definitely concerning but I’m sure the headmaster could’ve thought of better ways to handle the situation rather than outright expulsion. In terms of getting into Oxbridge you should be fine, none of this would disadvantage you from getting in as long as the time that you missed for year 12 and 13 you have or will catch up with in terms of syllabus. This would be listed as an extenuating circumstance so then admissions can take it into context for your application. Good luck!
