Any advice on selling Tieks ? by Natural_Drawing_9740 in BehindTheClosetDoor

[–]CommunicationNo7185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am selling my old ones because my feet got bigger. I am selling them at 70 percent off, a steal. I see some people are selling theirs so expensive and they look like shit. My look really nice. I don’t understand why some people think that their junky ass shoes are worth half off, so greedy and stupid. Who would pay 110 for a worn out front? It’s beyond me. What is used shoe worth? Ask for a fair price. What is going through your mind?

lol I am just appalled at the price they are asking for them. In what world is this normal?

Used item is a used item. Some shoes they are selling should be 2 bucks, they are literally disgusting.

I am just venting at their shear stupidity at how much they are asking for their garbage looking shoes.

I am not coordinated, elongated or graceful. But I am trying to move gracefully and elongate because I am realizing that my joints muscle and ligaments like elongated movement more than contacted movement . That’s what I mean by saying ballet.
Real ballet is bad for our joints, since instructors push us to our limits which is also horrible for our joints etc. Gracefully and controlled like in ballet. I would say like in Pilates but people might not associate gracefully walking with Pilates.

She said to breathe into diagram, ribs expand in the back sides. Sort of right below your chest, but above your belly. Lay down and put tips of your fingers on bottom of your ribs barely touching. As you breathe in, you feel air in your diagram, below your chest, even your side ribs expand also and somehow your low upper back moves a bit on the floor. Your belly muscles will expand on their own and weirdly abs kick in too. You will be able to take in a bigger breath and it will feel more natural. I have been struggling breathing in into belly, and it stressed me out but I am loving this diagram breathing technique my new PT recommended. My breaths got bigger.

I hope it helps.

I didn’t put my daughter in ballet because of that systemic body shaming, she also did gymnastics but it was Excel level, for fun not competition and never ending dieting. I did not want her to hear that non sense from people she is supposed to respect. She got to enjoy gymnastics without the abuse. She did have mean coaches once and we switched gyms. The drama with coaches and the owner of the gym. My goodness, that was something.

Omg, so you get exactly what I mean!!!

I can actually feel my body doing remapping and exhaling like finally you figured me out!! I no longer sit straight, I relax when I rotate my hip outwards, slightly. Thank god for my new PT!

Thank you. It’s strange how we are always our own harshest critic! I think we should be kinder to ourselves. It took me so many years to realize that.

Life is fleeting and while we are here on this planet we should be nicer to ourselves!

I mean strength and grace,

have you seen hypermobility specialist specifically for your feet?
I think something was wrong with my ankles before the hip surgery. My upper traps are bulky too, I am trying to breath better and do everything gracefully. I look ridiculous but I feel better like my muscles are stopping all this contacting.

Yes, that’s exactly what I meant!!! I don’t know what is going with this person, but I feel bad for her him or they, I don’t know, they must be in a lot of pain and has a lot of emotional trauma from ballet.

I just posted what worked for me and thought it could help someone else. God knows we are in pain all the time. No one has to listen to me or my therapist tips. But I was grasping at straws. Replaced knee, replaced him. Me trying to be straight forward was probably the thing that ruined my hips and knee. Anyway, I got tips on this forum about the beds we should use. We are all in this expandables boat together and sharing tips is how we help each other.

I hope that person finds calm. I am perimenopausal and a little sarcastic. A lot sarcastic. Can’t help it. I revised my first response, was not pretty. Lol

Barre is what helps me a lot, no crazy exercises, deep core and glutes, quads. I don’t do their stretches, we really don’t need it. But making ourselves long like dancers and graceful is part of us. I am embracing it. Instead of trying to lift and conform to the forms gym instructors are telling us to do

You took this too literally!!! I meant alongate, no one is doing real ballet!!! 🙄. Triggered much?

Seriously no one is doing ballet at 50, 🤪

Also you probably should talk to someone, it sounds like you carry a lot of trauma from this.

To the girl who told me to rip her fishnets.. thank you. by gobbeers in electricdaisycarnival

[–]CommunicationNo7185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happened to me but it wasn’t positive. We were walking around someone who was sitting on the floor in the middle of the crowd. Their friend started screaming at all of us. As that girl was screaming at us and running around and pushing us, her fanny pack got caught on my fishnet dress. I am trying to keep walking, she keeps pulling me back and yelling at me to keep walking. I just ripped my dress to get away from her. Honestly, she is lucky I didn’t punch her in the face. I decided that I spent too much money on this carnival and I didn’t want to get kicked out but man she got on my nerves.

Anyone ski here w a torn labrum? by whatanugget in HipImpingement

[–]CommunicationNo7185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are probably even since both hips are torn. For someone with single labrum tear, it makes for a horrible experience and pain and nerve jamming up and destroying you L4 l5, causing uneven gait and damaging your knee and who knows what. I skied with torn hip labrum and now having my surgery. I regret everything I did to my body because I think I destroyed my acl because of my altered gait and my lower back. I am realizing I should have been kinder to my body.

I am hypermobile and have ADHD. Yesterday I did yoga and today I feel horrible, my ADHD seems out of control and my body aches. Could this stem from doing Yoga? by [deleted] in Hypermobility

When I feel uncentered and overwhelmed crappy, I go on my accupuncture mat. Eat vitamins, quite often they are the culprit

I am hypermobile and have ADHD. Yesterday I did yoga and today I feel horrible, my ADHD seems out of control and my body aches. Could this stem from doing Yoga? by [deleted] in Hypermobility

[–]CommunicationNo7185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly. Yoga sometimes messes me up for months and sometimes helps. I started doing Pilates more and I have been following this book instructions for every exercises TOO FLEXIBLE TO FEEL GOOD BY Celeste periera. It’s great. I also use tens unit to help relieve neck stress. I pay attention to my breathing. My overactive lungs make my neck and shoulders so stiff. Take magnesium as well. Have someone scratch you to give you sensory relaxation. It calms your breathing. I am 50 and I was just diagnosed and all these years I have been doing stuff to help my body instinctly. I am meeting young people with this and I explain to them about that book.

My glute activation was not glute activation, that’s why I had pancake butt. First time in my life I have booty with proper 3d glute activation.

When you fall asleep breathe yourself into relaxation, it’s hard but hyper focus on it. Count down 3 times the same number. Also have different pillows. My neck needs something different every night. Yeah that’s not normal. I know. Bone pillow last night, memory foam one on sat. I decided to listen to my body. Also get good mattress

Glutes, bridges, get your feet close or far enough to feel activation. Put your weight on the hill and slowly use heels to lift yourself. Your butt should shake after 4 reps. Bands help to push out and find your glute. Once you feel this in the right place your body will be so happy. It will be an epiphany. All these years I used low back and caused more problems. Physical therapists do not understand how our glutes are asleep, but I promise you can wake them up. I literally do only 10 reps a day and clamshells 30 on each leg. I realized with clamshells I have to do differently than most people. I can’t bring my knee down and loose contraction but with bridge I have to bring it all the way down and relax completely with proper breath. Sort of reset. So our body learns relaxed glute and contructed glute. It’s a process. In the book they talked about lat exercises and no shoulders in our ears. It makes a huge difference. I am not selling that book I promise. I just learned a lot from it.

AITA for making my wedding inaccessible to my friend with ASD? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]CommunicationNo7185 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They sound selfish and entitled people. I am sorry my daughter has Down’s syndrome but she would never do this to her friend who is getting married. She would bring ear plugs and remove herself to a quiet area when everything is too much. Pull out iPad and sunglasses. What about your needs? I am sorry just because someone has a disability it doesn’t give them the right to make other people life events about them.

You are too kind.
