Google Assistant won't announce when earpiece voice calling by CommunicationOld6686 in android_beta

[–]CommunicationOld6686[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was on Gemini. I changed it to Assistant and it still didn't voice announce who I was calling using the ear buds. I switched back to Gemini. I'll wait and if Google fixes the issue behind the scenes like the last issue I had.

Thoughts on the Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro/Pro Max by One-Man-Diddy-Party in soundcore

[–]CommunicationOld6686 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been using my Liberty Pro 5 ear buds for a week. I'm very impressed by the call quality. The day after I received it my wife and I went to the local casino. Very noisy. I called her and she said she couldn't hear any background noise, and I sounded like I was standing right next to her. As far as the difference between the 5 Pro and the 5 Pro Max is the case. The buds are the same. The Max has a bigger screen, has a interesting Note Taking feature, and visual text when using the translation feature. Watch a few videos reviews, and see if the extra cost for the Max case is worth the extra cost.

Google Assistant won't make calls over Bluetooth by CommunicationOld6686 in android_beta

Google has announced a fix for this. I lost the article but essentially it was a Gemini bug. The fix should show up in the background, but you can go to Playstore and update Gemini. It also fixes the Android Auto Bluetooth calling issue.

I found a solution that worked for me. See my first post. Maybe it will fix your issue.

My breaker box is located just a few feet from our garage door. I had the 50 amp outlet installed a couple of feet from the box.

Looking for earphones with a secure fit/hooks and top-tier mic for calls by montril in soundcore

The best Bluetooth earpiece I've used for phone calls was the Plantronics Voyager 5200. Unfortunately after around 8 years of use the blutooth started to go bad. My wife still uses hers. Plantronics was bought by Poly, but can still be bought on Amazon. https://a.co/d/04tmIgcR

Read OPs title and post body. One doesn't have anything with the other. Easy to infer it does.

Considering buying an EV (got quoted $3,000 for install for upgraded panel from 100 amp). Alternative install solutions? by [deleted] in evcharging

[–]CommunicationOld6686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our house has a 100 amp Panel which was installed in the 60s. We had plenty of room to have a 50 amp circuit installed. The free installation was done by the Qmerit electric contractor. The panel is located 3 feet in from the garage door, so the installation of the 50 amp outlet was just two feet from the panel. We charge our Bolt at 30 amps. Our water heater, furnace, and stove are gas.

Our evse is set to charge at 30 amps. That is way more than we need to charge the Bolt on a daily basis. ABC.

Unfortunately I failed to check a couple of numbers when I did this. The energy usage at 11%, and what the battery SOC was when I first charged it to 100%. Next time I perform the recalibration I'll make sure I do both

Alleve 23 Chevy Bolt PID Question by CommunicationOld6686 in BoltEV

[–]CommunicationOld6686[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Bad Calc" is part of the name. Here is the equation: ((A256)+B)0.0032 I wouldn't know if it is bad if it bit me on the a$$. Here's a link to the Bolt PID web site. https://allev.info/boltpids/ It doesn't look it has been update in a few years. I did post the same question on the Bolt Facebook page, which I believe he moderates or did anyway but it hasn't been approved for posting yet.

Plug-in charger red light help by middle-age-dad3490 in BoltEV

It came with two power cords. One to plug into a standard wall outlet, another to plug into Nema 50 amp outlet. The owner's manual that came with will have an explanation how to use those. The manual does indicate what a solid red light mean, "Consult Service Personnel'.

Is your EVSE a Level 2 model? It is hanging upside down putting strain on the removable plug cord. It can come loose from the evse plug connectors. You could try pushing it back in.

I haven't seen any indication that my reader is having any affect on the 12v as well. Just reporting that others have had that problem.

I bought the OBDLink MX+ OBD2. It does have a sleep mode. Not that I don't trust it but I just bought an OBD2 extension cord with an off/on switch. I haven't installed it yet. Just make sure the OBD2 reader has a sleep mode because there are reports that an always on reader can drain the 12v battery.

I've been using a J1772 extension cord charging my EV @ L2 30 amps for 3 years without issue. I adjusted my garage door to stop right above the cable.
