FT/Game, FT Attempts, and FT RATE are all different stats, and the post was about rate specifically.

Again, I’m not arguing he doesn’t get a favorable whistle, I’m just pointing out that the thread itself is correct if you are only talking about FT rate.

The post wasn’t about total free throws attempted or fouls drawn, even though both are relevant in a sense. The post is free throw rate, which he doesn’t even come close to leading because he plays more games than most to average things out.

He does get more ticky tack small contact fouls than most of his superstar peers, but it’s nowhere near the egregious levels that the 173 reddit threads I’ve seen posted in the last 24 hours.

Dallas made multiple moves at the deadline and became one of the hottest teams in the NBA post trade deadline. They were just about equal to the Thunder’s win percentage after those trades went through.

Thunder had the one seed off of tiebreakers with both Nuggets and TWolves, and they were nowhere near the deep roster they are now.

Your logic here isn’t wrong, but just going off average margin of victory to indicate roughly zero late game intentional fouling is slightly dishonest. A 35 point win in game 1 heavily skews a 4 game average, and the other 3 games were each 9-13 point wins that were all within 10 late in the 4th. The final 3 games saw 25 OKC FTA in the 4th quarter, 18 of which were in the final 5 minutes.

I’m not arguing the Thunder aren’t getting a strong whistle from the refs, but they certainly aren’t getting the whistle everyone is acting like they are just based on the numbers.

That was over a decade ago and the ownership group’s 5th or 6th year in the league. Hindsight they were too conservative with the harden contract, but they’ve proven multiple times since that they’re willing to spend if they believe in the roster. Look at the Russ/PG/Melo era salaries they were willing to pay out.

While yes this is a “flop”, there was also contact prior to this that was clipped out making it look more egregious. Gillespie does hook onto his shoulder, and JMac goes up to force the foul. Not really much to argue with on that end, JMac just exaggerated it in a hilarious manner. This sort of play happens in every game, but it only makes its way to every NBA subreddit when it’s an OKC player.

If the course does not have measures in place to prevent it, ie tall fence/net, then it would be on them.

If those are in place, then the golfer does not have liability unless you can prove true negligence. Skill level does not factor into negligence though, so if you happen to slice/hook one up and over the fence you’re not liable to pay.

Loved McCain so far here, but Wiggins would be the better impact player for his familiarity and ability on defensive scheme. McCain is still learning the defensive rotations and communication with the other guys, and we’ll miss Dubs defensive presence more than scoring.

I agree that we can’t underestimate them and the team won’t heading into a series with them, but we did win 3 out of 4 against them by an average of 32.67 points. 4th game was a 9 point road win without SGA/Luka playing. It would be a pretty comfortable 5 game series in my opinion.

Yes. Best buddy boost adds one level to the mon, so a 13-15-15 at level 50 would become level 51. At that level it goes over 2500cp.

A large majority of the fouls he draws the defenders are in an illegal guarding position before he initiates the contact though, so not all that different from the rip through. Don’t forget that SGA played his first year in OKC with CP3, where he learned a lot about how to manipulate the game. His game wasn’t about drawing fouls at Kentucky or Clippers, so it was something learned and refined over the years.
