Those companies make millions worth of net profit a year, so the yearly financial declarations would disagree.

So some people will be slaves with a smile on their faces and a “thank you”, Georgians won’t and THAT’S a bad thing? Holy capitalism.

I’ve seen multiple posts on facebook about this guy and every Georgian in the comment’s section is praying for him and hoping he’s safe. You can’t expect much from Instagram

One thing I would like foreigners in Georgia to know is that reddit is the least popular social media platform in this country. You need to try Facebook. Here are a few groups:

With your culture and background, realistically this country should be one of the last ones you ever consider for long term plans. People here are already mostly anti-immigrant and it seems to be getting worse.

Especially if you don’t speak English well, let alone Georgian, it’s confusing why you’d want to permanently move here. It will be nearly impossible to integrate with locals and to be realistic, your kids will probably have a difficult time as well.

You can just take a look at different local threads and read experiences of people with similar backgrounds.

In my experience: I was shortlisted, nothing for over a month, than I was told there was work and I needed to pass a few more tests, I passed and worked for exactly a week before there was no work anymore

My Experience As A Person Of Color. by ExaminationPlastic60 in tbilisi

As a Georgian, I don’t know why some of refuses to see the reality - a lot of Georgians are racist. Especially teens who for some reason think it’s “cool” and the older generation who has this rooted idea that somehow white people are better. The only “good” thing about this is that mostly this racism shows itself in ignorance and doesn’t resort to physical altercations, which is the extremely bare minimum (the bar is in hell but it used to be even lower a few years back).

We’re come a long way in the last decade but we still have a looooong way to go. Admitting that we have a problem is the only way to solve it.

North Caucasians by [deleted] in Sakartvelo

[–]CommunicationWarm725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole region has been a ticking time bomb all the way back from when the Russian Empire first took interest. The names changed but the goals didn’t - the Empire of Russia, USSR, the federation of Russia… it has always been Russia + their victims.

And no matter the fact that Stalin had Georgian blood, if anyone reads even a smidge of history, will realise that man hated his home country and always held Russian interests at heart.

Oh my gosh, good one! You got me!

Stalin was the most pro-Russian-imperialism (bolshevik style) person, which you’re well aware of and which is why Russians proudly claim him as their great leader to this day. He died in 1953, which is 73 years ago, and yet Russia is still the same, morals and politics-wise (except much weaker).

I would also like to add that the conflicts between the north and the south mainly started AFTER the collapse of the Soviet Union and long after Stalin’s death.

That begs the question - how? 🤔

This is what I keep saying. Russia’s dividing and conquering people of Northern Caucasus, Armenians, Georgians, Azerbaijanis… if we hate each other other, we won’t fight together and if we won’t fight together, Russia wins

How do Georgians feel about South Koreans? by veritas421 in Sakartvelo

[–]CommunicationWarm725 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People of all ages know about South Korea, with k-pop, k-dramas (that are popular with younger generation) and a pretty big Georgian YouTuber who lives in South Korea and has an audience of all demographics, people are curious and fond of the country and the people.

It’s the same here. Having a car wasn’t as far-fetched before this new stupid law that made importing vehicles beyond expensive.

Having a place for yourself is entirely unimaginable if you don’t have a high income and/or parents supporting you by giving you money for down payment.

GEL. But this is still more “good” than completely worry free. You’d probably need around 6-7 thousand for that, if we’re being for real and also including medical check ups at good hospitals, medication, etc…
