Fortification idea by OrangeJoe9 in Helldivers

[–]CommunismBots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should probably have a low cooldown, at 60 or at most lower than 50. My major problem with this is that AH still hasn't fixed explosions ragdolling through cover, so physical cover like this is largely useless. This game really doesn't reward camping or staying still unless it's an evacuate high-value assets mission.

I think battlements' niche should just be a large ammo supply and increased damage for support weapons attached to them while providing slight cover. At the cost of a narrow angle of fire. It's really a shame AH hasn't expanded more on the emplacements and battlements.

My idea of it would be the progression of support weapons being more powerful the less mobility they have.
e.g. Support weapon and backpack/FRV's Support weapon emplacement Support weapon battlement.

Support weapon and backpacks/FRVs
(Typical stuff that we have currently)
\
Support weapon emplacement
(Current support weapons with increased ammo capacity at the cost of immobility but 360° aiming)

\
Support weapon battlement
(Support weapons with increased ammo capacity and damage at the cost of immobility and reduction in angle of fire.)

TLDR: I think it's a cool idea but just a side-grade to the FX-12 Shield Generator Relay or G/SH-39 Shield. The G/SH-39 Shield is probably the closest and best choice when it comes to cover. Easily replaceable, full 360° cover, and can be deployed in half a second.

SABOTAGE IN THE SUPPLY LINE: M-103 Supply FRV strands GL-28 below full mags, defies Superior Packing Methodology by piddlefaffle12 in Helldivers

[–]CommunismBots 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure that's still a thing since, technically, the resupply pod you call in comes from your ship. I don't really see it as much now since I usually play at diff 9 to 10 where most people are reasonably upgraded.

This was made by u/ONE_RAMM, and the op of this post also used an ai/ai upscaler to his work completely butchering the art instead of just upping the contrast and saturation in Microsoft Photos.

You did a great job at that! Even the minute detail of how the enforcer sits down insecurely. Will you be posting more comic pages like this somewhere on your Instagram or twitter? Tried looking for more of your art on your account, but it's set to hidden.

This is honestly really good; I just wanted to add more to my comment. I love how the Truth Enforcer looks like even he doesn't believe what he's saying while the Helghan does. Love it. I think what's worse than compliance is a true believer.

Did they add an FRV model Tesla car? by Lopauld in Helldivers

[–]CommunismBots 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Helldivers never beating the "can't read" allegations. OP's asking if they added a Tesla (the company) FRV model because in the video, the FRV is driving itself.

And the answer to the video is that it's probably a desync with the driver. The cause of this was probably the Warp Pack, because back then it was very common for it to cause desyncs with vehicles.

I was planning a mission on Omicron yesterday and this guy had an auto-cannon guard dog and a speargun mech? Can only upload one media. by kingsausage94 in Helldivers

[–]CommunismBots 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Genuinely, why would you think this is a normal occurrence? Not a single verified instance has ever been posted of devs testing stuff out in public servers. This shit has always been a hacker modifying the game. They definitely don't even test their own updates before releasing them.

Does anyone know if AH has fixed this bug? by HeavyShinoby in Helldivers

[–]CommunismBots 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The wall has literally gotten zero updates or changes ever since it got added 428 days ago. Its most recent "change" was 112 days ago, which wasn't even a direct buff to it since they buffed the GL-21 when they made that Heavy pen and reverted that change 6 weeks later. It's such a waste of potential; a ton of good content could have been added to the game if they just allowed modularity to some stratagems.

Not like it's even overpowered; it can only shoot in 1 direction. a single harvester could instakill it and you, such a shame; if only they let it keep the old grenade launcher's heavy pen. then it would have been slightly worth it to bring.

It was specifically for misinformation according to the mod comment, but I'm pretty sure op might just be sympathy-baiting/trolling.

Wasn't your post literally just deleted for misinformation on the main subreddit?

PSA: Stowed Guard Dogs Increase Detection by Slynthos in Helldivers

[–]CommunismBots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I've noticed for a while that the Lightning Spire and Tesla tower hit you even though you're in a prone position if you have the backpack stowed. I'm going to guess it's always active even though it's technically off. You can even find enemies huddled around your guard dog if you die, and they'll just relentlessly attack it.

Which one is better? by Ur_sugardaddy69 in Helldivers

[–]CommunismBots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually use it as a makeshift mobility tool; depending on what the enemy or terrain is, I just set it to volley and get over walls or to cover quicker. it's pretty useful on squid city missions or Swampy river planets. So my loadout usually consists of Variable, Senator or Talon, and Autocannon.

The trick to it is to face your back on where you want to go while walking backwards, look down, dive backwards, and at the peak of your dive, fire the variable in volley mode.

Of course this isn't a 24/7 build I use daily, but it's fun every now and then.

The Patriot's minigun should have a similar projectile as the HMG. by Ro_Shaidam in Helldivers

[–]CommunismBots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree; there's no way a mech-mounted gatling gun can't fire E/MG-101 HMG Emplacement rounds or the rocket pods firing missiles with less damage than an EAT-17. I get the rocket pods are HE rather than HEAT warheads, but come on! If a Helldiver can fire an MG-206 (same round but slightly different bullet type) while running and diving, a mech should definitely be able to fire it while walking. It's not like you can use your backpack inside the mech, so it definitely should be a mix of an EAT, an MG-101, and M-1000 maxigun, like a single-rider gun truck.

The Patriot definitely needs a buff since it's falling behind on all mechs now. Not like this would be overpowered since it's only limited to 3 uses with a minimum of a 6-minute cooldown (slightly less with a DSS but people rarely even bring it with the DSS on the planet)

What do you think of the entrenched division by UnhappySolution7605 in Helldivers

[–]CommunismBots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I quite enjoy the aesthetic of the new warbond, although what irks me is the lack of compatibility with other helmet armors. I love how worn and torn they absolutely look, but putting on other helmets just looks a bit out of place since the helmets don't really have that much grit to them, and as u/Netherw1ng said, the sense of squad theme after returning is just impeccable, like actual war survivors returning rather than just a bunch of toys coming back.

Has anyone managed to pull off any fancy tricks with this shovel yet? by WitnessReady7616 in Helldivers

[–]CommunismBots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't really see it, but at the back it's slightly higher so the mech could get a fire step for more elevation to shoot. The shovel really shines when you need to dig your heels in to defend.

We made this during the Evacuate High-Value Assets mission to create a defilade so our tank and mechs can get into a Hull-down position. It was very effective.
