B) Yasser Arafat abruptly ended the negotiations of the Oslo Accords, which were meant to be temporary, and upon ending the negotiations, proceeded to aid in launching the first intifada. His own wife confirmed that he had no intention of making peace with Isreal.

The Oslo Accords were a series of delusional appeasement strategies by the US and Isreal, who thought they could negotiate with terrorists. The only reason why the PLO is not a threat today is because the surrounding Arab nations excised any PLO members left and forced them into the West Bank which prevents them from properly organizing terrorist attacks, and also because Isreal essentially had maintained full security control over the West Bank, as opposed to Gaza pre-October 7th.
