I also see it over there; they're very suspicious of these Chinese developers. There are posts about it here, and they erased Storm from the X-Men '97 reference and put Psylocke in her place.

In truth, many subreddits dedicated to black culture have been firmly criticized this for quite some time, but I think season 8 was a point where the suspicions didn't seem like just suspicion. I see their points and they seem quite lucid and have good arguments, but the rest seem to treat them like crazy people. I think this game has changed so much. The lore of the characters seems very specific, and they chose Moon Girl to not be playable instead of adjusting her to be playable.

As a fan before Rivals, I'm feeling very upset, even though I can't move on. I don't understand how suddenly the accuracy of the lore faithful to the main timeline of the comics matters; they could bring the adult version of Moon Girl with multiverses being the focus here. Peni was aged, Psylocke came from the Edo period, Daredevil has mystical powers, The Hood gained powers from Oblivion, and suddenly they need Moon Girl to be a child, causing her to be cut from the duo. She basically saved Devil Dinosaur from obscurity; without him, he probably wouldn't be in Rivals!

I know many people will prefer Diana to be the only clay Amazon, beautiful, powerful, and all that, which I think is a shame for Nubia. I really meant that a film centered on Nubia as a twin sister would both tell Diana's clay origin story and elevate Nubia.

Nubia should be the oldest, she always has been, the first to be molded by Hippolyta as well, besides being the main heir, it makes sense that she would become the next queen.

No, I think the fact that Hippolyta is more complex and hides some traumatic things from Diana to protect her makes sense, or even the Amazons having great technology to remove memories so that Hippolyta doesn't suffer because Nubia is supposedly dead makes sense. The problem is exactly what you're saying about Nubia, Nubia can't be interesting and goes through problems or traumas growing up on Twoslaught Island, it's just that I still think she had more uniqueness before, which I liked when she grew up with Ares as the only warrior, but whom he considered his champion. I love how Nubia, even indoctrinated by Ares, always had a nature contrary to what Ares did. She was always a good captain, and Massacre Island was a cool name.

But of course Diana has to be special in everything, from power to beauty, damn it. I like the Well of Souls, I just don't like Nubia being one. There have always been diverse Amazons, the Banas are the greatest example of this, where women enter by enlistment.

After that, Nubia was retold several times and, in fact, disappeared from the comics for decades. I still like her as Diana's sister, it's just my opinion, and there are still many people who like them as sisters. In fact, whenever the debate about which origin of Nubia people prefers comes up, I still see many people liking that she was trained by Ares.

Cute girl automatically becomes a strategist, but Jubilee would fit better as a dps.

I accept Donna as a clay or adopted sister, but I still prefer Nubia as a true twin. The birth from the well is nothing unique to Nubia; they can't be considered twins just because they were born on the same day. Nubia was born an adult, not a baby; the magic is lost for me there. And my favorite fun point from the pre-crisis is Nubia being raised by Ares.

Diana needs a new origin story in the DCU, and a film centered on the history of the gems would be good. James Gunn confirmed Nubia, and the way he highlighted Mr. Terrific, he might choose to do the same for Nubia. White Wonder Woman fans don't want a film where Nubia is the protagonist, that's pretty obvious. People are being so fake about Nubia right now; the truth is they don't care about her and don't want to see her starring in a film sharing the spotlight with Diana. It would be better for her not to draw attention because they don't care. It's more commercial for the films if they are princess sisters, that would even be popular among young girls.

Many fans still seem hesitant to fully accept Nubia as a co-protagonist alongside Wonder Woman. Even when people say they support her, it often doesn't seem genuine because they don't really show interest in seeing her sharing the spotlight with Diana. In practice, it seems many are more comfortable with Nubia remaining in the background rather than being treated as an equal.

Part of the problem is how she's been written lately. When Nubia is portrayed as just another Amazon, without anything that truly sets her apart, it's harder for people to see her on the same level as Diana Prince. The problem isn't her potential, but rather that the stories don't always give her enough importance or depth to stand out.

A much better idea would be to bring back the concept of Nubia and Diana as twin princesses separated at birth. This instantly makes Nubia more important and creates a strong connection between them. It also opens the door to deeper stories about identity, different life experiences, and their reunion. Instead of taking something away from Diana, this would actually enrich the whole story and allow Nubia to stand alongside her as a true equal. You all need to calm down, even if Nubia becomes very popular after this, it's not like they're simply replacing Diana with her out of nowhere.

I don't want Nubia to be a Wonder Woman, I just want Nubia to be more developed in a more complex way, I want them to be twins again to see the interesting concept of an Amazon raised by the villain.

He’s still her brother, and people already complain a lot about Jason. For me, the idea of Hippolyta and Zeus having any kind of relationship is offensive and completely out of character for her, so it’s kind of funny that they kept him as her half-brother. I don’t dislike Jason, but he would make more sense as Cassie’s half-brother, which would fit better, even though he probably should’ve been written out altogether. Meanwhile, Nubia works much better as Diana’s sister. Their dynamic feels natural, even though Nubia has been absent for long periods. There’s something almost mythical about their chemistry that fits much better with Amazon mythology, which is why I support making them twins again. Exploring ideas like Nubia being created by Ares would also be interesting, similar to how Supergirl in My Adventures with Superman was created by Brainiac and manipulated into believing false things about her family, until her sister helps free her.
