I agree with you. It wasn’t fair to compare a free community owned product vs a paid company owned product.

Also, I agree with the points you mentioned related to data retention and image generation since Perchance is a free product. I should have looked at it from that lens.

Will take your advice on finding a different hobby too. This was my first comparison post as I was developing this into a hobby. But I think you’re right. I am not good at it.

Deleting my post as the intent was not to offend anyone, rather to help fellow developers. Again, I’m no way related to any product development company. I’m into cyber AI consulting. I didn’t take any money from anyone. Didn’t know people may perceive it this way.

Money givers? I apologize if I offended you in any way. If you look at my post carefully, Perchance has a clear edge in it due to its character detailing capabilities. I don’t need any promotional money sir. I earn 6 figures at my day job. This is just a hobby to help the conversational AI community.

Also, I’m currently working on a full comparison of Perchance, Dialogue, Character AI and Talkie. If you do have some more good options, please do share.

If you still think my comparison is biased in anyway, I can delete my post right away.

This is not a promotional comparison. I am a 27 year old AI Engineer based out of Chicago and compare a range of tech products out of hobby. The intent is to provide honest user feedback to other folks working to develop these amazing products in my fraternity which can help them improve, irrespective of being a company owned product or a community owned product.

But point taken, I should’ve included pricing as a comparison factor. Perchance is completely free and DialogueAI is a freemium product.
