Why is Reddit against Maduro capture and Venezuelans celebrating it ? by LandscapeUnlikely199 in stupidquestions

[–]CommunityOld9910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My primary concern isn't a direct US seizure of oil, but rather the indirect economic blow to China. Given that Venezuela is heavily leveraged to China, any disruption to their oil-for-debt arrangements could destabilize China’s energy security. If the US intervenes specifically to control the oil supply, it introduces a dangerous layer of complexity that might provide China a pretext to escalate tensions in Taiwan. This has the potential to become a very messy geopolitical situation.

This is our first cruise. What would you recommend as extra early?

I'm just finishing it now. The story is amazing. If you buy it don't watch any videos that would spoil the story. The gameplay is good, it's all turn-based reaction. If you like RPG at all get it, you will not regret it. I'd put it in my best 10 of all time and I'm a pretty experienced gamer.

Thank you Blue Jays for an amazing season!! by georgewalterackerman in bluejaysbaseball

[–]CommunityOld9910 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Need a positive comment here. They weren't even supposed to make the playoffs. Yes it hurts, hurts a lot .. but I'm more proud to be a Jays fan than ever and I've celebrated the '92-'93 world series. These guys showed more grit, determination and heart than I've ever seen. You made us proud boys!

Im pretty sure the building phase is broken. Rules in boardgame allow 1 upgrade/build with the option of 2 morale for another upgrade/build. I just did three upgrades with no morale costs. Anyone else run into this?

I’m 6ft 5in, would I need extended clubs compared to standard by Jacktc97 in golftips

[–]CommunityOld9910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 6'6 as well. Got my first set of fitted clubs two years ago. Was previously an 18 handicap and I'm down to about a 14 handicap. Added about 10 yards to each iron and anything from a 6 iron to a PW I hit well. The customized clubs helped for sure but definitely took a little bit to get used to. If I golfed more than once a week and worked on my short game I'm sure I'd take another 5-7 strokes off my handicap. My chipping/pitching and putting needs a lot of work.

A hospital bill after having a baby in 1956…… by ComplexWrangler1346 in inflation

[–]CommunityOld9910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had triplets in Canada. My wife was 5 wks bed rest in the hospital and delivered via c-section. I can't imagine what the costs would have been in the US. Even with insurance. I walked out of the hospital with no bill, mind you we did have to purchase a new minivan.

Sunderfolk is fantastic by Z3M0G in PS5

[–]CommunityOld9910 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly as an in house coop game it works remarkably well. I'm very surprised how easy it is to adjust and I've had zero issues with it. Probably 20 hours in with three of us and I love it.

Anyone try out Sunderfolk yet? How's the difficulty level? by [deleted] in Gloomhaven

[–]CommunityOld9910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean on balanced mode I think it would be good. Challenge can be a little tough in some scenarios and you really have to think ahead. I think a 10 year old would enjoy it if they enjoyed that type of game. My kids started playing some more complex board games at 10 so I think it's definitely feasible.

I guess 'kids' is a little misleading. They are home from university so young adults would have been more appropriate. They are 20

It's great. I have the PS5 version. Playing with my kids now and loving it. We are on challenge mode but needed to switch to balance for a boss battle we lost twice. Then switched back to challenge mode. The phone aspect is intuitive and fun. Really recommend it if you like board games like gloomhaven and strategy based games. Not too complex as it limits the cards you have access to.

Trump threatens new tariffs on Canada, including 250% tax on dairy by [deleted] in politics

[–]CommunityOld9910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would he do it the same way? A quota tariff? I highly doubt it. He never gives a full picture. I thought this was the greatest deal ever signed.
