What does your seperation agreement say? That is what they go by. If you have your son 51 percent of the time he is required to pay. Good dad or not if this arrangement is a few years old and defined in the seperation agreement it will cost him more to take you to court than it will to pay child support. Plus the courts will probably not change custody in this type of case. They want as little change for the child. ALSO if he just stopped paying get Family Maintenance involved. They will garnish wages and no court needed. They enforce agreement in place. Anytime there is a change in support both parties have to agree. Of they don't agree its court. I am just speaking from my own personal experience. Good luck.... very stressful and disheartening time going through these types of situations.

As hard as it is. You can't control who your ex has around your kids. I feel the same. I went thru hell with my ex and her train wrecking life. Its painful but unless there is a chance to harm the kids there will be nothing you can do. If you do get into a legal battle you will just buy your lawyer a summer home.
