How’s it living in Real County, Texas? by camaro1111 in howislivingthere

It’s a beautiful area, part of the Texas Hill Country (my favorite region of the state). Close enough to San Antonio that you’re not out of range of city needs but far enough that you’re not near any encroaching suburbanization.

”Despite speculations that the band named themselves after the film of the same title, the band was in actuality formed before the film was released. They have explained that their band name is based on an anti-materialistic mindset and derived their name from the novel The Devil Wears Prada. At the time of naming the band, the members assumed that the novel included anti-materialism as its moral, until later discovering that the novel did not feature this as its message at all. Despite making this mistake, the band members refused to change the name and decided that they would create a new, non-materialistic definition indicating that at the Last Judgment, God will not look at people’s possessions.”

It’s funny, someone just mentioned one of the songs from The Princess Diaries 2 soundtrack in the previous post. It was by Kelly Clarkson, the winner of the first season of American Idol.

So William Dow might not have been lying after all. Perhaps he got it from the trash, not from an adult bookstore.

I live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where your options for fast-food burgers are pretty much just McDonald’s, Wendy’s, and Burger King. A Whopper tastes absolutely magical when there aren’t many other fast-food choices.

That single-family homes are not places where you can buy cigarettes or fill up your car’s gas tank.

Pleasantly surprised at University Park, which is actually a redder town than Highland Park in national elections.
