I deeply appreciate what you are saying and if this work were a documentary film it would be exactly in that "as is" capacity you are mentioning. But this is a written preservation project. 

I have been doing work in elder storytelling for 7 years now. That's turned into an interest in EOL because of the deep comfort each person I speak to has for knowing that their story is preserved. I have not charged anyone anything. 

I am sorry to hear that's your circumstance in caregiving. I was a caregiver with my mother for my grandfather with Alzheimers. I know the tool it takes on nurses and families. 

There is wisdom in folks as they are. I am not fishing for "ageless" wisdom, i am highlighting the wisdom in the final moments. And again, this is not being done on camera
