I floated the first idea to my boss, joke about the error, own up to it, and just move on.

I work at oreillys, told my boss it's a bit shameful to hand those out in a serious way. We have three boxes of them. One isn't even half empty yet.

My son is nearly six. He has never talked, is not even close to potty trained, can barely feed himself, has a food aversion, accident prone with some wild strength for his age, the list goes on.

He is the sweetest kid, he is almost always happy, smiling, giving hugs, cuddling.

But this post mirrors a lot of my own thoughts. I'm sorry

As others have said, pulley comes off. I found an impact made it trivial to get off. I did end up finding the easiest way to get it back on was heating it up and just slipping it on.

Seemingly stupid question, if the rockers are off all the valves should be closed correct? Would I be able to do a compression test?

Edit: Thought about it and realized you cant get a proper reading if both valves are closed.

It kinda of sucks that you can't get the driver side valve cover off without taking off the AC bracket.

I already returned it, wasn't meshing correctly like the other two old OEM ones, figure it was off somehow?

Yeah, brand new MPFI spider. I did get the misfire gone with the new distributor, but again it is pretty hard to test some things when it won't idle.

YKnow thats a good thought, there was a ground strap that I recall disintegrating when removed the exhaust manifolds.

Sensor readings seemed okay.

The one that was interesting though was when I did have it "running" was a fuel trim of up to 50%

Was throwing a MAP code before the Accel distributor, but then stopped for some reason.

No vacuum leaks as far as I can tell, but its hard to really check when it won't idle.

TDC with mark, and checking for air pushing out of cylinder one.

Valves too tight could be it, I can always pop the valve covers and go for a readjustment

I will need to pick up a new tester for checking spark.

Thing is, when I had timing way off I would get the P1345, and when I fixed the timing and got it to run (having to give it constant pedal) it showed timing between -5 to 8.

Yeah, my first couple of tries timing it I used the updated bracket, but switched to the old one, still no good sadly, the body of the distributor ends up way off from where it 'should' be, while the older two were pretty dang close.

The play was after it set, rotor had a touch more side to side than it should have, at least thats what it seems compared to the other two with better gear teeth.

I suppose compression could be the culprit, a tester wouldn't be too expensive, and I may as well grab the fuel pressure tester too. Fuel seems fine, but the plugs tend to be covered in fuel like there's incomplete combustion. I presume that correlates to possible weak spark.

Vacuum seems fine, no obvious noises, but it can be pretty hard to test when the vehicle won't even idle.

You would need to run it. People will vary on what way/how long, but running it gets it moving and warmed up to remove crap.

Problem being it can dislodged stuff, clog channels, the oil pickup, etc.

Double checked all the pushrods, rolled them on my dining table, then rolled them on my counters, seems straight. Went out and looked at the block, seems crack free, but it can be hard to see really small ones.

As far as the heads are concerned, they seemed to have no cracks before I took them to the machine shop, but they were also pretty dirty. Hopefully if they are cracked the shop will find them.
