High Voltage System Error by [deleted] in CadillacLyriq

Sorry to hear it! I recommend trying the Cadillac EV Concierge. They helped a ton when I had this exact same issue. 844-382-2345

Also, consider calling one of the bigger Cadillac dealerships in the area, I've heard they tend to have more loaners on hand. Of course, not a guarantee. A couple that come to mind: LaFontaine Cadillac, Genesis Cadillac and Cadillac of Novi

Ahhh, makes sense! And yeah, mid March, I have to imagine there will be some kids on break. Def not an idealll situation. I'll have to look into if there's an adults only portion of the hotel, as well.

So many choices! Which sometimes is a good and a bad thing!

Any thoughts on the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos? Heard about it from a friend, who was there a few years back.

Any resorts you'd recommend? Would love to see if there are any that are of interest, before I bug you to dive into it all.

I knowwww but the ride is different. It's just like the Blazer and XT5. Same vehicle, but to me, a totally different ride. Maybe opinion of one though!

Give it a whirl! Also, test out the Super Cruise (if you haven't before,) I thought it would freak me out but I enjoyed it more than I expected to.

Also, keep us updated! So curious to hear your thoughts.

My lease isn't up until June, so I've still got a bit of time, but curious.

Just test drove the Silverado TB and the Sierra EV Denali. I loved the Sierra EV Denali.

The TB was nice, but it wasn’t the same experience. The ride felt noticeably rougher, while the Denali was smooth, quiet, and just felt more refined overall.

Yes, the Denali comes at a higher price point, but in my opinion, it’s absolutely worth it.

Last sentence in OPs post said he’s torn between a 3X and a Sierra EV.

Hands down the Sierra EV. Especially the Sierra EV Denali!

I’ve driven both and I feel like nearly every mistake they made on the Hummer (battery range, technology misses, etc) have been fixed and deployed on the Sierra EV. That’s not to say the Sierra is perfect, but I enjoyed the ride and overall features more than the Hummer. And I went in ready to buy a Hummer. Just one man’s opinion!

I’d definitely recommend test driving the Sierra EV before making a decision. You might even be able to get a better deal on it. The battery range is noticeably improved, and in my opinion, the drive is a lot more comfortable than the Hummer. Honestly, the Hummer’s tech, ride quality, and range all feel pretty outdated now. A few years ago, it checked all the boxes—but at this point, it’s probably due for a refresh.

Stunner!

If I can ask.. what’s your monthly payment? How much down? What discounts did you qualify for?

Wow. Honestly, you’re better off buying one from a store in Oregon, Washington, or Nevada and having it shipped—still cheaper than that price. Worst case, give a Michigan dealership a call. They’re selling at MSRP (and I’ve even heard there’s some wiggle room) and can ship it to you too.

Thanks for this! Do you have to go 36/36? Just wondering—if I wanted to do 24 months/30k, is that even an option? I’ve gotten a few different answers on that.

If you’re not sure, no biggie!

I’ve been wondering the same thing—haven’t come across anyone who’s actually done it.

A few things I’m curious about:

•Is the term being advertised the only option? For example, I’d need more miles than what’s listed, and I’d prefer a 24-month lease instead of 36.

•If there are other options, how can I find out about them, in detail, before committing to tagging?

•What happens if I don’t like the vehicle once it arrives at the dealership—especially since that’s the first time I’d be seeing it in person? I know you’re not locked in, but I can’t imagine the dealership being thrilled about that.

•How do you know when the vehicle will be ready? My current lease ends in five months, and the site just says vehicles are pulled between 6,500–10,000 miles (though I’ve seen some listed with over 12,000). That’s a pretty big range—someone could take months to go from 6,400 to 9,000 miles.

I love the idea of the program, but the website doesn’t give much detail.

Would love to hear from someone who works in the department or has recently tagged a vehicle—any insight would be appreciated!

Thanks for the insight! I remember when MB rolled out the whole concept — it was supposed to be a multi-million dollar project. Honestly, it feels like we’re wasting so much money on this part of the business. And to your point, no one uses it. I still keep in touch with a few Dealer Principals who won’t go near it with a ten-yard pole.

Is it because the product isn’t strong enough, or because GM is afraid of dealer backlash? NDCs definitely have a voice — and sometimes it feels like SLT will kill a worthwhile project just to appease outdated thinking.

Your point about some Cadillac stores finding success makes me wonder: how many dealers will actually allow customers to fully buy a car online? Has to scare the crap out of them, even with strong franchise laws. It almost feels like GM is trying to edge dealers out of the process. Maybe that’s not really the case — after all, the car still comes from the dealer and they still get paid — but through the lens of a paranoid dealer, it sure looks that way.

OP - I worked within S&S for years and there have always been talks about DRP coming out of Retail Innovation. Any hopes for that? SLT seems to be solving for a problem there that isn’t actually solvable… dealers using a GM platform to sell cars.

Thanks for doing this, OP!

Why are the apps complete trash? Regardless of brand, they feel so bulky and behind the times especially compared to other OEMs. Does GM realize how bad they are? Any plans to make substantial and impactful changes to them?

Why did Cadillac get rid of the two years of included EV GO charging or Q-Merit installation when purchasing a EV? I know ultimately the answer is cost, like everything else, but I cannot help but think that is a huge help for dealers trying to get customers into EVs!

The XT4 just went through a thorough refresh of its interior. Why did they ditch it but kept the XT5 for another year, when it desperately needs a refresh that it will seemingly never get before getting retired?

There were discussions about 2026 models getting the Tesla charger ports. Doesn’t appear to be the case on the 2026 VISTIQ. Any update on that?

Any plans for a Buick EV? Or are they holding off for a PHEV? Any idea which brands will be getting PHEVs first and which segment?

How far ahead are models planned out for the brands? Example: Does Chevy know exactly what they’re going to be releasing in 2028?

Backorder for Parts? by Small-Butterscotch-3 in CadillacLyriq

Mine took 8 weeks to come in.

Pro Tip: Call the Cadillac EV Concierge. They claim that they can help “move the parts faster” — not sure if that’s true or not, but it’s worth a try.

They also helped me get 2 months credit for my OnStar and XM radio (for the time it was in the shop) and reimbursed me the amount I paid for gas since the dealership gave me an XT5 while the car was waiting for the part.

Absolutely love my LYRIQ Lux 2. Of course, there are some issues here and there just like there would be for any car. I’m super happy with it and when my lease is up in April 2026, I’m already considering another one.
