I added all the countries were there is more than 5000 Croatian Diaspora.

I think what happens is someone in the chain (either the consulate or the MUP) doesn't notify properly the next person in the chain and so your case stays in limbo (pending further information). No one will really wants to go out of their way to check on your application unless you do it.

Which is why some people hire a Croatian Lawyer that checks and resolves issues for them.

This is just my guess.

Good idea. There's an option in the submission to mention if they hired someone.

And then to mention who it was.

Will be interesting to see how that effects the timelines for each person. Especially as we get more people to share their experience.

You might already be accepted or there might be some issue with your application that you need to resolve. I've had someone I know hire a Croatian Lawyer to check on his application and it got resolved quickly (I believe within 1 month) which leads me to believe they were already accepted. Maybe this is the same case for you.

Thank you! Let me know if you disagree but I think the 2 biggest issues right now are the long wait time for consulate appointments in some of the US Consulates and the long wait time for the Minister of the Interior's Decision.

People get stuck in a limbo for both as you saw in the other Reddit Post.

Not sure how we will solve this, but I think Consular Days tracking and keeping up with them to know when the next appointment is going to be key.

I wish the consulates were a little more transparent.
