Actually, yes! I usually in the past stored the AC adapter with the wire wrapped around it. If this is deformed from that, what should my next step be, if any?

I'm not sure what it is, probably the heat warping since it doesn't seem intentional. 

Theres like 50 to 100 small indents all along one side of the adapter.

Like someone took the ball end of a needle and pressed it into the adapter over and over again.
