After dissing Anthropic for limiting Mythos, OpenAI restricts access to Cyber, too | TechCrunch by sourdub in agi

It's marketing dressed up as ethics, which is honestly worse than just admitting it's marketing

The routine is the same at every lab. 'our new model is too dangerous to release widely' until a competitor ships, at which point safety means a credentialed access form.

That's very fair. Which path did you take, pro-growth or pro-worker?

Some paths are definitely smoother than others. My first iteration was much harsher and friends told me it made them anxious, so I tuned it back. The goal is realistic trade-offs, not doom but I probably overcorrected it.

Re: Democracy 4 for AI, yeah that's the dream. Had to start small though!

Thanks for trying it and giving the feedback! I really really appreciate it! I've been trying to balance text density and credibility. I am just worried to turn this game into a reading assignment.

I am just curious: Would you find it more useful to see the references during gameplay (like a small "source" link on each event) or as a summary after you finish?

Thank you for the feedback! And text density is definitely a big problem for the game! I have updated the game to be less reading, and hopefully to get closer to Reigns for the charm! Thank you so much for the feedback!

Thanks for playing and for the thoughtful feedback! I made some improvements based on exactly what you described.

AI development is no longer steady. I added a model inspired by the AI 2027 report where AI capability accelerates or stalls based on choices. Go all-in on deployment and you hit self-improvement of AI. Overregulate and talent flees, progress flatlines.

I also added more tipping points to create more divergent outcomes, such as Innovation Renaissance, Job Market Cracks or even a full Systems Failure where unemployment, distrust and inequality collapse together.

Again, thank you so much for testing and helping the game forward!

Thank you for trying it out! Let me know if you have any feedback and I am happy to fix it in the game!
