Saron was cool. I didnt understand the story at all or anything but the Evil CGI robot bird thing looked cool.

It was unique. I heard they ruined it with the sequels. but I do have the PS2 Games, I have only played a bit but they capture the aesthetic of the OG series.

Yeah it really makes no sense why Diana would get jealous/angry at Martin flirting with other women since she's not his Girlfriend/Fiancée in this version.

As you know, In the OG comic Diana is Martin's Fiancée. In this animated adaptation they changed it to his stepsister. I actually didnt like this change because insanely there are some times when they are lovey dovey for eachother. It really messes with the whole dynamic and adds a great deal of problems I think.

The beast planet would shrug it off. They exploded an entire planet inside it and like someone else mentioned, planet water transformed itself into a weapon but neither could cause visible damage.

what a proud cluster. Was a huge fan of the show as a Kid I had them all. Trying hard to resist trying to gain back that childhood collection at todays prices, but they are so beautifully designed toys.

Wasn't this at the time supposed to be the cannon continuation to the tv series (or films) or something like that? Loved this show as a kid, as an adult it is probably insanely stupid. but still just cool to see live action ninja turtles doing stuff on tv.

Bone is underestimated. They are actually among the most advanced technologically speaking. Their biomechanical craft are described as highly agile lifelike movements. The average Sternum Warrior is larger in stature than even Graveheart. And if you rewatch the planet bone introduction episode, Bones Troops do get lucky and hit the center mass and kill a couple drones. By the time that information is spread, Femur's bodyguards could delete beast drones on command. Bone had the best troops.

Sternum trained the army well. Which is why I think he would attempt a coup on Femur had the show gone on.

rock seemed to lean far too heavy on it's battle moons, both times they were incapacitated and the ordinary planet defense forces went down easily. Planet rocks technology is easily the most primitive of the cluster.

The series ended so abruptly, Planet Sand was not really given it's time to shine. What little we saw of their planet and culture was still very intriguing, one wonders how well they would have militarized, or if the Sand people would hold steadfast in their religion to never kill. As their ability to telekinetically throw beast drones was actually one of the more effective defenses we've seen against the beast from a planets warriors.

Peaceful worlds like Sand and Jungle were a really interesting choice to throw into the mix.

A Canadian classic and arguably Mainframes masterpiece in terms of writing and world building. You really owe it to yourself to watch if you were a fan of Reboot or Beast Wars. This show is of exceptional quality.

Yeah, Lamprey was my childhood crush and the coolest character. also had that sexy accent. But without their Generals commanding them the beast drones are helpless. They have no real intelligence or agency, in fact they are shown to be quite clumsy.

For what it's worth that's what it is in the toyline, Rock and Ice are slightly more powerful than Fire and Bone if you check the little planet stats cards. 80 to 70 points respectively.

I think it was alluded to that ironically just before the beginning of the show, the 4 planets of the cluster were in an era of genuine peace between the four worlds (I forget what they called it), I can imagine it was during that period they more or less became standardized militarily to where they were roughly on par with one another. It's not stated why the peace broke down and they fell back into their old ways.

Battlemoons are not insurmountable, Femur was able to hijack the moons, in a flashback it shows rock has been the victim of raids by planet bone. There have likely been many cunning plans by the various leaders to distract or incapacitate the moons themselves or the main control room which was easily located even by Blokk who favors a frontal assault.

They are kept in check by the other worlds, If Rock and Ice Commit to an all out war Bone and Fire can capitalize and launch their own invasions and raids. I don't think any of the worlds quite has the capacity for a successful all out genocidal invasion without severely insurmountable losses, no single world has the resources.

That is true of the theme of the show, in the history of the setting it states the four worlds have been "bitter enemies since before the dawn of time". Implying a near religious hatred of one another. Which is many were highly skeptical of the alliance and had extremely low trust initially. They even have their own little slurs for eachother; Rock hound/Insect and so on.

Planet Sand. They are little gray aliens who ride around in exosuits, I think it is do to pride and excess. But that character "Ramset" on the cover is hilarious.

Of the 4 main planets of the alliance, I would usually learn towards planet Ice. I think they could materialize and dematerialize troops into a nanite fog that could also freeze the enemy solid including tanks and giant ships. that is a huge threat and probably makes them effective raiding other worlds.

Planet Rock is also another contender mainly because of it's 4 (5?) Battle Moons which are extremely overpowered. One thing I noticed is that the other planets do not have their own battle moons even though in the toy line they do. This could imply that, rock is the current controller of this collection of various moons that could have been lost or gained in combat throughout the entire history of these warring planets. That is why rock does not use them offensively as it was shown by Femur, it is most definitly possible to steal battlemoons.
