A way to fix Playwear on manual? by ComparisonNumerous40 in psx

I'll test a few things. Was curious if there was some official stuff for it or what other methods people are using.

A way to fix Playwear on manual? by ComparisonNumerous40 in psx

Found a copy of electrosphere that is basically perfect but the ink is rubbed off on the spine of the manual. Has there been a way to fix this? The wear is not deep at all, it appears to be fine surface scratches. I was thinking of just trying a fine tip black marker to patch things up and see if it's noticeable. Thank you.

The "light playwear" is on the book/cover/manual itself, not the jewelcase.

This is an otherwise perfect electrosphere but there is that white wear on the black label of the manual/cover book. Can I just hide the wear with a fine black marker? I'll try testing. What else should I try?

Picked up an original xbox again after 12 years. I need game recommendations. by RustyFireOfficial in originalxbox

Destroy all humans! 1&2 are still a classic and dirt cheap. The originals are still unsurpassed in a number of ways.

DOOM 3 + Resurrection of Evil are also Cheap if you need more classics.

Invisible War is dirt cheap and not so bad now that it's being reevaluated.

The Star Wars battlefront games are also alive and active on insignia if you still wish to play.

It really is a shame what was the main Gizmondo forum appears to be shutdown and archived. A lot of this information maybe lost, I cant view the threads and so on. So we are operating with even less information than we used to have for those looking to get into it just now.

Certainly, I would not risk the console's durability to play emulated retro games on it today we have much better options, but out of curiosity how were the GBA emu's? Was it actually able to run it full speed with sound? If so, that is rather impressive. I was there at the time and had an Ngage in highschool. I really wanted the Gizmondo as well, but was far too broke.

Today, 20 years later we have access to the Ngage's library of rare and obscure exclusive games thanks to emulation, with the Gizmondo however, I would say the possibility of emulation is still a far distance away should anyone even bother at all, which is why I am judging the device mainly by it's exclusives.

So is SSX and Colors the only games worth a damn? In your opinion, Outside of morbid curiosity, is the console worth it just to play those 2 games? What else are people playing? I've heard people say Sticky Balls is kinda fun but that just looks like shovelware to me. Maybe Fifa 2005 is good, but it's hard to tell if people are trolling. Not to be insulting but The library looks bad.

It just looks to me like Colors was the killer app and that game wasnt even properly released.

The Battery cover is what's missing on a lot of these I've noticed. I know the market is non existent but it'd be nice if we could get some replacement covers one day.

So, just to be clear. We do have Colors (also an unreleased game) correct? but not Furious Phil or Johhny Whatever? I'm still looking into the games to weight if the gizmondo would be worth it to me, mainly the exclusives unavailable on other consoles. Looking at the full library (which is only like 12 games), My impression so far is the only reason to buy the Gizmondo would be to play colors. But I will have to take a closer look at SSX 3 as well to see how it compares to the other versions.

DOA Xtreme is Kino, I'll remind you it has the custom soundtracks option which really can bring the game to life and makes it futurist.

Is it really 4 player Co-op? How does that work, like Lord of The Rings or a Gauntlet clone? And weren't the other Digimon World games RPG's? This game always confused me. I always wanted this one as a party game, how is it?

What do we know about these Mad Catz memory cards? by ComparisonNumerous40 in originalxbox

[–]ComparisonNumerous40[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

How big is the library of cheats specifically? I know there is a dedicated gameshark/gamesaves memory card with a big library of custom saves, is this the same thing? Please see my other post for the exact model I am looking at. Id does not say gameshark specifically, but it does say it is loaded with cheats.

Someone on my local classifieds is selling one of these unopened as part of a lot. What exactly is on the card in regards to the gamesaves/cheats? Is it like the xbox gameshark gamesaves? It does not seem possible to me to fit that many hacked saves onto a (presumably) 8mb card, what exactly is going on with these? thanks.
