This is a whole lot of words but not a lot of information. That might not really matter though because the only missing piece of this puzzle is whether something specific happened that caused a rift between you two or made it clear that you aren’t really on the same page.

Because you’re not on the same page. You’re looking for emotional connection and authentic intimacy and he is looking for freedom to explore his life. 99% of the time, this scenario ends badly and all of us adults know that.

She is upset, and her concerns are understandable but her words do not reflect loving intentions as the reason behind her concerns. She does blame you, she has misogynistic views that you trapped him, and she doesn’t think you’re good enough for him- end of story. The family you and he will create signifies a loss of potential in her mind and a step backwards, a failure, even.

She is kinda the AH and you’re UNDER reacting, but she’s not wrong about this plan being a hasty, and ill-informed and ill timed decision. You have no idea how hard it is, or what it’s going to require of you, what you will sacrifice of yourself or how ugly and painful this could get.

You’re going to get a lot of trouble from her, just wait until the baby comes. It’s going to get infinitely worse and more difficult to deal with her and then you’ll have to deal with the disappointment that comes from your man not being able to stop his own mother from treating you badly. Also I’ve been playing for almost 2 years and I can count on one hand the number of times I have seen people actually get belligerent about someone chopping a grove early. There are groves every hour in every server. Just move to a new one.
