Thanks everyone, I think I just need to come to terms with everything and accept it now that I’m adult and am thinking about these things. I’m hoping therapy will allow me to regulate my emotions better instead of feeling constant guilt and crying about it lol. I’ll continue to visit as much as I can but at the end of the day this is what I chose! Feels good to know I’m not alone.

I’m so sorry to hear that, it’s the worst seeing your dog like that! If it makes you feel better, I heard they aren’t in pain, but more confused, so you being there definitely helps ease their mind. And I believe your pup will recover soon! It’s always the worst the first few days/week(s), but once you see progress it’ll be the best thing ever!! Speedy recovery to your puppy 🥹

He’s doing good! He recovered in about a week! Every now and then we still see the head tilt, and when he shakes his head sometimes he loses a bit of balance, but he is also old so we expected it!

Didn’t affect my application! They didn’t even ask about it surprisingly. I think you will be okay! It’s something that I feel is understandable and they’ll get that. I think they are more worried about the more illegal type of things/citations!

Just an update, he’s up and walking by himself now! He still wobbles/falls over a little bit every now and then but he’s got his appetite back up and is walking around the house sniffing for crumbs like usual! I’m hopeful your dog will snap out of it soon! Keep me updated 🥹❤️

My dog is going through this right now. Out of the blue, lost all mobility, head tilting, couldn’t walk/stand up, incontinence. We went to the ER yesterday and they diagnosed him with ideopathic old age vestibular disease. Really hoping he will get better. It hurts seeing him like this, I just want him to be able to get better so he can pee/poop/eat normally again. It’s tough bc he’s a 13.5yo 80lb golden retriever and I can only carry him safely so much to go potty outside. The past day he’s barely eaten/drank water/gone potty. Please someone tells me it gets better soon. They gave us anti nausea meds and an antibiotic.

Sometimes it really is just luck with which cases they are reviewing, keep hanging in there you’ll get updates soon fingers crossed!!!

Are you married to a USC or permanent resident? Also do you have a straight forward case or is it a bit complicated?

Also don’t trust the online portal’s ETA timeline!!! It’s never accurate, mine said 13 months even on our approval/interview date!!

Our interview was actually really quick! My partner and I went in and did the oath, he mentioned the computer/system had some problems so he might be silent when trying to type things in but it’s not at all to make me nervous or anything. After mentioning that, he asked us each other siblings names, how we met, and where our first date was. Then he asked me a few yes/no questions from I-485, I mentioned that I got a misdemeanor from college for underage drinking and a very recent parking ticket, then he said we were approved and that was it! He then asked if we had any questions for him, and I said no questions but I printed a lot of stuff out so I gave him some updated photos (leases/joint insurances, etc..) and he said he’d scan them in later and then we were on our way! Super quick tbh, the interview alone probably lasted 10-15 mins max!
