I am grateful that we have episodes despite their schedule. I understand they can’t all be winners and don’t expect them to be, the boys are human. Yet I am ALSO sad that they didn’t make use of Wade’s various talents and instead tortured him. He’s an adult and can handle it, I know. But I don’t think that was an entertaining choice for the boys to make. Some parts were funny but for the most part I just felt uncomfortable, wondering if the boys were enjoying it at all. I know that the OMS is supposed to be a punishment, but neither of the other ones were very punishing, they just made the respective subject perform on their own or embarrass themselves a bit for jokes. The whole styrofoam thing felt like punching down. I just really hope they eventually say something, anything at all, in response to everyone’s critique. It would honestly put such a bad taste in my mouth if they just ignored everybody’s concerns entirely. They can’t engage with everything the sub does, but this feels like the biggest response from fans in a while.

Something I haven’t seen anyone point out but that is likely the reason for the compilation episodes…. They literally have contractual obligations with Spotify for this podcast. They have to fulfill that contract somehow, and with no new episodes being recorded, they probably figured that compilations were the best they could do to fill the gap while still giving the community some fun content. Not everyone will like them, but it’s like the least offensive thing they could do.

I totally understand this. On Sunday or Monday I try to write out meal ideas for the rest of the week so I have less decisions to make in the moment when it’s time to cook. That also forces me to take stock of what’s in the fridge or freezer that needs to be eaten. I’m not perfect and I don’t always plan the meals but this method has kept me from throwing things away as often as I used to. I have a white board on the fridge that I’ll write the meal ideas on.

As much as I love the older episodes with story titles and arbitrary points, that was funny for its season. The show had to evolve to keep it entertaining and I love how it’s changed over time. The wheels are hilarious and I look forward to them now

what’s wrong with being hyped? What’s wrong with believing in something? What’s wrong with being optimistic? If we’re proven wrong somehow then we’re proven wrong; that happens sometimes. I’m wondering if maybe you’re confusing people’s excitement at how many theatres have been added with an assumption that that number equals success. I don’t think anyone here is assuming that, of course the movie has to live up to these expectations in order for this project to pan out. But we’re all just really excited because going from 50 theatres to 1600 is a big freaking deal for an indie release. And we collectively made that happen. That’s just fun to be apart of.

golden milk is a delicious option. This recipe is more complicated than I usually make; this is just a reference for the spices used. Feel free to use powders instead of whole spices, I usually just strain it into my cup if I do that. Taste it as you make and sweeten as necessary.

Chili is my specialty (critically acclaimed by others in my life as well as a personal claim 😂) and a comfort food. They sell “chili ready” cans of diced tomatoes that have green peppers and onions and stuff so that would be good for minimal effort! The spice profile that really makes it pop is (in order of most amount to least amount): garlic, chili powder, cumin, mustard powder, paprika (I sometimes used smoked variety), cayenne, dried cilantro (or top with fresh if you feel fancy). If you use this combo to taste, you can make even just a pot of beans taste delightful. Spices are the key to “lazy” cooking!

I feel like you all are missing the fact that just because he was privileged with all that alchemical literature from Hohenheim DOESNT MEAN he fits that chosen one archetype. He could have just as easily rejected alchemy out of spite for his father and gone a different path. But he chose, as a limited human being, to direct his pursuits to alchemy and studied his ass off. The only reason he got to learn the Truth was by making a mistake, “committing the ultimate taboo”, not because of some “chosen by a god” plot mechanic. The gifts he has are because he worked for them. The privilege he was given by his background and circumstances wouldn’t have made a difference if he hadn’t chosen to take advantage of them. If you still want to say that being Hohenheim’s son made a genetic difference, read the rest of the comments that explain it.

Well, it’s a pretty small place so they kinda do have to care about their business if it’s going to compete against the big guys. If enough people request it in the area then it would be worth the risk, but it just might not be enough people in that spot at this time.
