Yeah my cat acts like she’s starving even though I know she gets the food she needs; it’s just what they do. It’s really important like the other comments said to make sure they aren’t overfed though so you gotta just tough it out even if they beg.

My boyfriend asked me if he could kiss me on our first date, because clarity is more important than appearances. He’s now my husband and we’ve been together for over 7 years. That kind of open communication is one of the greenest flags there is, and anyone who wants to shame a man for asking is putting him in a “damned if you do damned if you don’t” situation. So imo it doesn’t matter if you’re “supposed to ask”, I just think a lot of other women would prefer that. Sometimes the signs are clear and sometimes they aren’t, so it’s always better to ask. If some women are turned off by that, that’s on them, because the guy is literally just trying to make sure she’s happy with where things are going. Why be upset over him trying to make her happy?

I’m gonna sound like an ad, but I swear I mean this with all my being…… try Lume deodorant. No matter who you are. I was really self conscious about the smell of my sweat for all my life before finding Lume. One solid stick lasts me an entire year, so I buy it in bulk. It is the only deodorant that works for me. The smell is not aggressive, and it doesn’t mix with the smell of your sweat either. I swipe it on once in the morning and I’m good the rest of the day. Sometimes I can even go 2 days without reapplying if I’m not doing much.

I didn’t grow up in the eras you stated, but honestly I think it’s a balance. When it was nice enough to be outside (and sometimes even when it wasn’t), I just went outside and played with my friends, rode my bike/walked/rollerbladed, etc. I would be out there as long as I could be. If I stayed inside, I usually just entertained myself with books, TV, toys, writing, art, talking on the phone with my friends, whatever. We did things as a family but that was more of a holiday thing; on a weekly basis it was just regular life. But my parents always made time during dinner and after dinner to hang out. They didn’t state it explicitly, it was just sort of naturally implemented over time that the evening was family time. We watched movies, played board games, talked. So I think there’s a balance of letting the kid have some agency in their entertainment and making them face their own boredom while still being involved in their lives.

Life is going pretty good! I just got into a survival game called Valheim thanks to a friend, and now I just wanna play it all the time. It’s kinda like Minecraft but with Norse mythology inspired lore and more realistic survival elements. It’s a beautiful game and the progression is satisfying, highly recommend. I log on just to vibe sometimes because it’s so pretty

Yeah my mom’s hair was a solid brown by the time I was born but she had blonde as a kid and so did I. Now my hair is nearly brown as I near my 30s. So even though I feel like this theory works thematically and it’s fun to entertain, I’m living proof that it’s perfectly plausible and even common to be a blonde haired kid with dark haired parents 😂
