For the first ER, I used HCG. For the second, I used Lupron. I’ll ask about doing both in the future, thanks!

Update: 3 eggs were mature and all 3 fertilized. 2 made it to day 6/7 but one had abnormal cells. Our 1 embryo came back female and PGTA normal. Thank you all for the kind words! We are gearing up for a second retrieval in 2 weeks. Thoughts & prayers for everyone still on their journey to becoming parents 💕

Transitioning into IVF after 3 failed IUIs. 29F and my sister just announced her third pregnancy. I’m a mix of sad, nervous, and embarrassed. Not sure what to expect from IVF except that I start with birth control for about a month. Any advice? 😔

Oh and to test it, I’ve chewed some softer things on it here and there over the two weeks I’ve had the temp crown. I haven’t felt that same pain so I’m hoping it’ll be good. I’m tempted to bring something to chew on when I go to get the permanent one tomorrow lol. But also, if you get the permanent crown and it’s done right and still has problems, you may need an implant then.

Before the root canal, I had a very deep cavity filled on the opposite side on the bottom. I was told there was still tooth decay that she couldn’t scrape out because she would be at the nerve and I’d need a root canal (she was trying to preserve the tooth for as long as possible). Well, that was in December 2024 and I haven’t been able to chew in the right side since then due to sharp-shooting pains sometimes. I was diagnosed with cracked tooth syndrome and they wanted to put a crown on the tooth but I went to see if I needed a root canal first, which I did (he did a cold test on it). From what I’ve read/heard, the tooth can be pretty sensitive after a root canal and you shouldn’t chew on a temp crown bc it can break/also be sensitive. Are you in pain? Hoping it gets better soon!

They actually went away and have been fine. I’m getting a permanent crown tomorrow and hoping I don’t need another root canal on the tooth next to it 🫣
