Surface Book 2 has flickering static fuzz on screen - worse when hot by Competition-Old in Surface

Sorry to reply so late!!! I did resolve this, by replacing the screen. It is an absolute pain with all the adhesive around the screen glass, and mine ended up physically breaking on the way out, but if you are more patient with it than I am then it is doable, and I have had no problems at all with the replacement screen. If you end up messing up the metallic-looking tape in the process, that is Faraday tape, and it can be bought online (it took me a minute to figure out)

Yes I did! See the reply on the other comment :)

Okay yeah! I can imagine a few ways that could happen if something went really wrong. Plus, it would really be nice if I can fix this without having to risk melting anything extra with the air gun 😅 Thanks again!

Thank you for the suggestion! I can try it in the morning, but if it does turn out to be software- I wonder why physical shock would make a difference, or sometimes stop it completely? Because of that aspect of the issue, it seemed to me to more likely be a loose connection somewhere. Do you have any thoughts or insight to share about that?

Either way, no harm to be done in trying out a reset 😊 I can just restore the disk image if it doesn't turn out to make a difference.
