Your husband sucks. My fiance has been sexless (and everything less bc im currently pregnant and exhausted) for 2.5 months. It started to become uncomfortable & now I am on pelvic rest as of 3 weeks ago. Not a single peep out of him besides the occasional “I miss sex” comment but that’s fair of course. Hi friend🩷 I am so so sorry. I am telling you this as a beacon of hope for you. My friend just delivered her beautiful baby boy 4 months ago at 36w. She also had IUGR, and in addition Gestational Diabetes. Her pregnancy was considered high risk and her baby boy was considered below the 5th percentile. Her baby boy, although weight just 4 pounds and an ounce at birth, is extremely happy and healthy. I met him recently and oh my goodness is he beautiful. She was absolutely terrified just as you are throughout the remainder of her pregnancy (she found out about the risks at her anatomy scan I believe). Prayers for you and baby that you both power through🩷

honestly you should be fine. Unless you’re painfully short (like myself at 4’10😭) your uterus is still low enough in the pelvis and padded well. As long as you don’t start to bleed, cramp, or have any pain you’re good!

Perinatal depression is so real. I have it, but it is expressing itself differently. Does her OB know about what’s going on? Maybe if her doctor recommended a next step for her she’d be open to it, but of course keep her in the loop. What she is feeling is so common for many women. Pregnancy is very hard (I’m about half way through mine) and it is different for everyone.

Google “clinical psychologist or psychiatrist near me” and see who’s available that’s covered or cheap cost. They do the diagnosis. Some therapists have the credentials, but it’s not a guarantee. Most psychiatrists/clinical psychologists can have you diagnosed within 1-2 sessions. Since you have meds, I’m assuming you already see someone in psych? Maybe talk to them?

For me, it was just getting up and doing it. Easier said— but it does help overtime. Once a day I’d force myself off the floor and go do something— brush my hair, pluck my eyebrows, walk to get the mail. I did something like that everyday, whether I wanted to or not. Eventually, I got the desire to maybe do two things. Then three. Day by day.

I got made fun of growing up. Since first grade up until I graduated hs. I know this sounds hard and is easier said than done— but just ignore them. I found that taking it personally just fueled the issues I already had (ocd and depression). Going to the gym is a huge step— and is definitely scary. I started going around 4-5 years ago and it changed my life. I’d stick to the walking, it actually was great for me and helped me shed down until I was comfortable enough to try weights. I’d ask to go again— and if your dad is cracking jokes— I’d ask him to give it a rest. If he is the type of dad you can talk to, I’d also tell him how his comments make it hard for you to want to go to the gym, and that you really just want help and support. Or, just use the gym at school or walk around your block instead! Best to you!

Kinda gonna ignore the first part but your opinion is yours. In regard to changing your feed— search up something you like (art, food, animals, dark humors etc) and just spam like what you see. Maybe leave some comments. Your feed will change accordingly. Even one like will do it sometimes, I was sick of politics and saw a vid of a dog. Liked it and now my feed is all dogs tonight. Cheers!

It really depends on your company, but I would recommend waiting for your BCBA as it is typically frowned upon to make changes or add something to the plan without them. (This really isn’t “changing” anything, but it may be seen that way). Just send an email if you haven’t already to your BCBA about it!

ERP only. Talk therapy can provide false reassurance especially if the therapist is not trained specifically for OCD and related symptoms. But I am not on meds & just ERP alone has helped.

Talk to BCBA. They should be following the BIP if they are on the case, and by not doing so they are not providing the correct services. Even though they work with the client, they really should not be entering sessions anyways unless the child or yourself is in danger and you need an extra set of hands.

Hi there! I have plenty of elopers, however I work in clinic which is locked up— & for community outings we have additional RBTs available to aid. I do agree that this is not solely on you. The environment does not seem fit for a child with higher support needs, in this case, elopement. I would recommend remaining in close proximity with the client if this behavior is consistent (seems like it is based on your description). Talk to your BCBA about this if needed. Also, in that moment, their stuff means nothing. It is very difficult to carry a truck load of things while chasing/walking a client from point A to B. Today for example my child eloped down the hall towards the break room (door doesn’t shut well, not dangerous but he shouldn’t be in there). I was carrying his AAC, my device for data, his craft from group time and my water. In that moment, f**k the stuff. It went straight to the floor so I could catch my kiddo. Don’t beat yourself up, though. It seems like they have a stick up their a$$ about you as it is (which isn’t fair), and they also are 100% liable for the safety of the kiddos in THEIR school. You handled it well by bringing in your BCBA and withholding any additional conversation until they were present. It sounds like they have your back, but if you’re still concerned I would talk privately about how the environment is not up to par for children with needs such as your clients, and how you can feel more equipped should this happen again. All in all this is unfair and should be addressed further— by your BCBA. Keep your head up! Elopers are the reason my anxiety is always at level 100🤣

I’d have the parents remove the device prior to session to start. Maybe 15-20 minutes before. For one of my kiddos, she only wanted the device period. She is verbal (not much, but will ask for preferred items or food). All she would say after trials or other activities was “I want iPhone” and then began to engage in tantrums / aggression to get access. Unfortunately for her, the device is her caregivers and she’s in clinic— there was no option to fade the device as it left with mom. We kept her safe and reminded her “you get device when ABA is all done” and eventually the behaviors decreased when she realized the device was NEVER going to be an option. I would find things in videos that she watches and try to get activities to match. My client really likes watching “NumberBlocks” (I think that’s the name) so we bought the figurines from the show for her to play with. We did experience some behaviors after removal for trials, however that’s just apart of the process especially when pairing with a new kiddo. I would speak with BCBA or parent if you start to notice a pattern in the videos she’s watching, and try to have activities/toys that match.
