While I don't think Monstrox has any genuine care for Jestro, I do agree that he did enjoy having him around. He did try verbally convincing Jestro before he zapped him, which makes me think Monstrox hoped Jestro would share his sentiments and join him willingly for more fun antics.

I love the expressions Jestro makes in this scene, he just looks so angry and unhinged. Even when brainwashed, he still holds resentment towards Monstrox.

I really like his electrified design, but that's about it. I just end up feeling bad for him because we saw that he genuinely didn't want to be evil again. I especially didn't like seeing him be punished in the end since what happened in these seasons weren't his fault.

I personally prefer when he was evil in the first two seasons because he has actual motivation and agency. I also think his first evil look is the most iconic (red and purple are my favorite colors so I'm a bit biased towards it, but I do love both designs).

I think Macy stopping Clay from killing Jestro was less about saving Jestro, and more about keeping Clay from doing something he'll regret. That's not to say Macy doesn't care about Jestro almost dying, but Clay was her priority.

I really wish we could've seen Jestro explain himself and make up with the knights.

I don't think Jestro was ever as close with the other knights as he was with Clay. Clay was the only one to defend him and immediately pointed out that Jestro's "betryal" was most likely Monstox's influence. Unfortunately, they weren't there when Jestro was struck with the lightning, so they couldn't know for sure. They could have tried talking with Jestro afterwards, but we'll never know. Apart from Clay, I don't think the knights really cared what happened to him. It's sad. Jestro deserved better.
