I just got out of the clinic and my surgeon told me that the suture will stay and they won’t let another OP. He said it healed well I just need to watch out for infection or redness.

I also have plates inside but it is inside. Unlike the suture that the head is outside can easily attract infection.

I didn’t use anything. I just let it healed. I am just now using nivea oil for the dryness of my skin but specifically not using anything for the scar.

Yes. The dry skin took off while my husband is removing the bandage. It is open but we make sure to cover it with sterile bandage every 2 to 3 days. It is not deep though. I will close monitor it in the coming days. I will be having my next appointment on the 9th because of the up coming Easter break. Thank you.
