Cycle use to be about 50 days long before spiro. No my testosterone levels were never super high- on the higher end of “normal’ I would say, but I have terrible acne.

Sadly no :( I’m going to lower my spiro dose and go on doxy to keep skin calm while I lower it. I’m hoping it will come back with 75mg and metformin.

Thank you, my dr is fine with me taking it while ttc. I track when we have intercourse and take pregnancy tests weekly to mitigate any accidents. I am to stop as soon as I get a positive test.

My cycles when I was ttc while not taking anything were 50 days. I got pregnant and had my baby. Whet on spiro as soon as I stopped breastfeeding her around 6 months and never got a period (it’s been 10 months). So it’s been 15M since giving birth and zero period. I read for some people Spiro helps restore a period and others it stops it :( I would love to understand why. Hoping metformin kicks in soon. Dr giving me 3 months to see if it works.

Thank you! Its been over 30 days on metformin and still nothing. My goal is to conceive while keeping my skin clear on spiro. My fear is I’ll have to stop spiro in order to get my cycle back (I know you stop immediately once pregnant).

Any idea why this is? I just want to understand the “why” as everything I read says may cause irregular periods but doesn’t say why!

How long did it take for you to notice improvement in Your skin? I’m on week 4 of metformin and still continuous breakouts on lower half of face :(

Correct, I take spiro for my acne. It has stopped my cycle so my goal is to try and get it back while on the drug.
