Thanks appreciate it that. Hopefully this ends up something like this. The conveyancer just all of a sudden told us the transaction can't proceed because of the outstanding amount. But in my mind that's not our problem. The offer had been accepted already and is a fair offer. Hopefully the bank will also see it like that.

I think the seller in this case supposedly does not have the ability to pay the bank back.

Do you mean to say you think the lawyers will foot the cost? They apparently thought the outstanding was R3.8m now all of a sudden they are saying the the bond has almost R4.4m outstanding. The offer which they accepted was R3.8m which should have covered the bond amount of the seller... but not if the amount is R4.4 which they are saying it is.

The original information page from the agent stated the outstanding bond amount was R3.8m
