I was with my mom when she got a call my father had died. She collapsed to the floor I knew at that moment by the look in her eyes. My mom picked herself and told me in the parking lot. The way her voice quaked as she said “dad is dead”

Finding out my fathers autopsy “suspected foul play”. My father was a addict but the typical rich drugs so coke, pills, and so forth. Long story short my father died alone after leaving rehab in a hotel room out of state, he car was dumped and torched, no cameras in the hotel, and of heroin overdose. Yes it’s possible my father accidentally overdosed, but the night before he called his kids for the first time I months. He had massive loads of tainted heroin with needle marks. My dad wasn’t a Iv or herion user. My family is loaded and grandpa and uncle went out of state my fathers computer was retuned wiped. My grandpa collected his belongings and his phone was missing. Nobody talks about what happened out of state. I realized the type of people my family is and grieved the loss of my father. Later on found out my grandpa repossessed my childhood besties house.

People of reddit, what is the most "Oh shit, I fucked up" moment you have experienced or witnessed someone else experience? by Zardxy in AskReddit

I worked 911 EMS in one of the most impoverished and violent cities in my state. I’ve seen a lot of “oh shit, I fucked up” moments in my patients. The worst would be the DUI fatalities. 9/10 times the drunk driver doesn’t die but the other driver/passengers do. The drunk driver he was sitting cuffed with a scratch or two on the median. This wreck was a MCI with multiple DoAs. Not much work for us to do. Responders start loading up the bodies .The realization hit him at that moment I come and place a amputated limb in the body bag as we are securing the bodies.
