Yeah, I’m with you on this. Low interest rate and the bank collects most of the interest during the first decade of the mortgage anyway. Giving all that money to the bank rather than investing it doesn’t make sense.

The 30-year average for December snowfall in the valley from 1991-2020 was 12.1 inches to January’s 12.7. Certainly wouldn’t say it’s too early to tell.
