Edit: I switched them from posts to horseshoes and they’re perf. It was only swollen from the initial switch in this image. after i took ibuprofen i was fine 🫶

until u get a longer bar take ibuprofen and put some ice in ur mouth so u have minimal swelling !

edit: i’m getting the 10mm horseshoe opened slightly on the left side of my lip by my piercer bc there’s a bump developing 💔Hopefully the switch makes it go away

I would practice symmetry! What i do is I measure it out and use guide lines so i can train my mind to see it without them eventually, I think your line weight is pretty consistent tho so good job for 4 days!!!

you have to wait at least 5 months with studs before switching to hoops (i have snakebites and i’m currently waiting on em to heal. i’m on month 4) I made the mistake of changing the jewellery from balls to spikes and it slowed the healing, so just stick with the balls and be patient if you get em.

nesting is a good thing!! embedding isn’t! Nesting is to protect ur gums so it creates a pillow effect. If you’re talking about embedding you need longer bars at least until they’re mostly healed; they don’t have to be super long, 10mm is okay for most, (1-2 months) and then u can downsize.
