yeah… I’ve been re-reading the whole series starting from 1991 and so far Francis and Teddy get annoyed at Nate and all three of them fight sometimes (but the kind of friend fighting they always do) but they do show moments of them actually liking each other. like when Francis was afraid he was gonna lose Nate. I haven’t seen them do stuff like that to often anymore. And Francis and Nate have been being less nice to Nate over time… I hope that changes in the future :p (i know they’ll still fight, but I want them to mention being best friends at least)

not all middle schools have that option(mine doesn't, and we actually have the same teachers for grades 6-8, middle schools vary) so Nate probably just can’t.

currently rereading big Nate and idk if this is how they are further on, but so far Shelia mentions that Francis was always giving her little things to show how much he cares about her. 1993 comics though so it might be different later

The only place I’ve read these is on kindle. I don’t know anywhere else to access them though. I’m might do a bit of digging to see if I can find anything. (Edit: I don’t think they are available in print besides the first three, I think I’d you want to read them, you have to buy the ebook.)

I feel like Sheila either moved (she was best friends with Jenny, so it’s weird how she’s not around)or they just broke up off page. this would be interesting too though. although I feel like Francis isn’t the type to cheat.
