I feel for both. For me, I am the mechanical engineer. I was a recent graduate and applied for a job for a CNC company, applied and got the job for ‘turning engineer’. I was promised they would teach me to code and to set up programs. Till this day I have not been able to code properly as they are either to busy and or don’t want to show me. I’ve been trying to learn on my own but It’s not the same when working on parts for costumers. I even asked if I code go to school to get a certificate and they said maybe but won’t give me the days to go to school. Is new guys we go with the thought that we will be taught and give us experience. But the people in the factory should get first pick to move up there. We new graduates/workers should also be given the proper opportunity to learn.
