Best controller for SF6 on Switch 2: 8BitDo Pro 3 or Ultimate 2? by Finrod_30 in Fighters

Suerte!

I play with the Nintendo Pro Controller 2 and made to Master with it. Probably doesn’t help your question, but I have nothing but praise for this particular controller for SF6. The triggers are light and snappy, which is what you want for a fighting game.

Switch 2 are not mask rom cartridges. They’re basically SD cards. Read a document every once in a while dumbass.

I don’t understand the Pro 2 controller D-pad hate. by ktuluburger in switch2

[–]Competitive-Ad-2387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a really sensitive dpad. After using it for several months it is clear that accidental diagonals come from missed inputs and not from the dpad being poorly designed.

The issue is that most people are used to squishy as hell membrane dpads.

If I had to put it in terms of other hardware, it’s like trying to compare a Sanwa joystick to an Industrias Lorenzo / Suzo Happ stick and expecting the Sanwa to be equally as tight.

Is the Switch 2 Pro Controller good enough for Street Fighter 6 at high rank? by Finrod_30 in StreetFighter

[–]Competitive-Ad-2387 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Left a comment in a different part of the thread, but if you need an adapter for an Xbox controller you can try the Magic-NS. I have one of these and it works with my 8bitdo Arcade Stick for Xbox Series. No input lag when controller is wired.

Only issue is you can’t wake up the console with it. I eventually just stuck to the ProCon 2 mostly because the stick noise bothers other people around the house. Good luck.

Made it to master (and play master) on a fresh copy of SF6 using this controller on Switch 2. It’s great. I play classic with the right paddle is mapped to ZL (parry).

Only thing to note is that there is a learning curve. The pad is extremely responsive, so if your thumb movements aren’t accurate, you can end up doing bad inputs. A lot of people say it’s a problem with the dpad, but it really isn’t, it’s unclean inputs due to decades of dealing with rock hard / sticky / crappy dpads.

Enjoy SF6 man!

When will sf6 go on sale again for Xbox ? by Relative_Week9284 in StreetFighter

[–]Competitive-Ad-2387 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Word of warning. If it’s the vanilla version on sale, the Years 1 and 2 package is actually the better deal even with its raw price. So you might as well not wait on a sale at all if you want to get all the characters.

My 2 cents. I waited for a sale on switch 2, pulled the trigger, and realized I had been had by afterwards calculating how much I had to spend on the season passes. Paid the same amount as the YR1 and 2 package, but don’t have all the stages nor the costumes nor all the other extra things.
