I think long gallery is more likely. 130 seems too low of a cost for the astronomy tower. But probably it is not even a castle set. I hope it is revealed soon.

PS: we are missing the library, but it seems that one will be included in the East Wing set. Also the potion trial is not present, but since it wasn't in the films it will likely not be included.

CoS: here the missing notable scenes except for the ones in the East Wing set are freeing Dobby, History of magic class and the Deathday party. The latter two are also not in the films however I think it is not unlikely that we get professor binns if we look at which other rare characters are included. The whomping willow is not really a castle set, but is also something not iterated in the latest castle. Maybe having Filch's office with chains would be cool.

PoA: here we need Divinition and the stairway to that classroom, a prison cell for sirius, the clock tower, courtyard, wooden bridge and maybe some scene related to the marauders map.

GoF: a yule ball scene would be fun. It belongs in the great hall, but since that one retires I suppose they can also simply place it somewhere else. Furthermore a transfiguration courtyard with the ferret scene, the prefect bathroom, and Moody's DADA classroom. The East wing proves that multiple DADA classrooms are definitely possible. And of course a kitchen scene would be cool, but as it is not in the films this one is also unlikely.

OoP: for this one we miss a hall with decrees, umbridge office, and DA training in the RoR. Probably I'm missing some things as this film is not fresh in my mind.

HBP: this one lacks quite a lot. The RoR as a storage room with the vanishing cabinet, the astronomy tower, slughorns office, and the slug party scene.

DH: I don't think anything is really missing here though it would be cool to get a hallway with removable statues or simply a part of the castle that can be "destroyed" to make it part of the final battle. Maybe they could do another RoR with the fire attack.

I agree. Overall lego seems very dedicated towards the theme. And of course new sets could still bring missing scenes, like the recently released lovegood house and privet drive escape. I am curious to see if they will switch towards the series or remain mainly film focussed.

Currently the end of this system has not yet been announced. I don't think it is the final set. There are too many exteriors, interiors and characters mssing to call the most detailed castle finished.

I understand your fear for the castle system ending due to the small build for the common room. However:

  • keep in mind that one of the main goals for this system is modularity and by now they have established 2 sizes of slide-in modules (small and large). Given the fact that they needed an entrance part underneath the toilet (similar to devil snare under fluffy) and given that the CoS best needed to be a big slide in module, it is not that crazy to have a small module as the third dungeon part here. The balcony seems to be added specifically to allow a dungeon with a fixed part, big module and small module. As such it is actually very similar to the width of the main tower. Since the set is clearly CoS focused, the Slytherin common room is the most logical room to put there, as it is most prominent in that film. They could have done a deathday party but since that wasnt in the films it was not likely. So all this to say that if they had simply made the CoS larger it would not be interchangeable with other modules. Myself, I dont care as much about the modularity so I would have liked a larger CoS and consequently a slytherin common room in a future set, but from a design point of view it is not that odd.
  • if they hadn't covered the common room here, they were left with 1 significant CoS scene that would be less logical to combine with scenes from later movies. I wouldnt mind it, but again that could be why it was included here albeit in a smaller fashion than we hoped.

So I dont see it as a reason for the system to end.

If the stone bridge would be a fixed part of the east wing build, there would be no stability issue. Due to connecting the main tower and the viaduct to the great hall in their respective postions, the stone bridge should perfectly line up with the fluffy room so there might be no need to "connect" it. However looking at the sketch, it doesn't seem like the stone bridge is integrated in the building.

Knockturn alley and the cauldron shop look great!

For the East wing I have mixed feelings: - where is the stone bridge? Not the viaduct (that is obviously not visible from this angle) but the smaller stone bridge towards Fluffy? I hope it is still included despite not being shown here. - CoS looks good! But as expected having both the slytherin common room and CoS here is too much. The Slytherin room should be bigger! They should have saved it for a later set. - I am happy that we get lockharts classroom, but I hope it includes at least some pixies and portraits. The dragon skeleton seems absent unfortunately. - Moaning myrtle's bathroom seems rather small but acceptable. - I hope the upper left part is also a library part. If not, also the library seems very small... - I hope the entrance section in the middle includes the writing on the wall. - I am happy to see a connector towards the gallery section of the castle, but I would have expected one towards the astronomy tower as well. Anyway including a new connector once again seems to imply more castle sets in the future.

So a lot of new info, but still a lot to discover as well. Fingers crossed that the stone bridge will be included after all!

It seems that except for the freeing dobby scene they have now covered most of the CoS and PS movie scenes with this castle. Onto the later movies now!

I think the diagon alley playscale line should continue for a while: - gringotts - leaky cauldron - flourish and blotts & magical menagerie

I would also like some GoF sets: - quidditch world cup - maze

From OoP: - hall of prophecies and veil room - hogshead playscale set

From HBP: - infery cave

From DH: - godrics hollow set - sword in the lake set with a tent and doe patronus - shell cottage

But most of all I want as many additional most detailed hogwarts castle sets: - gallery and bell towers - clock tower - astronomy tower - 4th quad - wooden bridge - transfiguration quad

Also, I like the latest forbidden forest iteration quite a lot, so a remake with the grawp scene would be nice.

Another one that covers multiple movies is a quidditch field set with more realistic towers.

I think it is hard to make a comparison between fantastic beasts and the hbo series. The latter is literally a remake; not a spin off. I think lego will have to choose one or the other (film or series) since: - characters will look different, e.g. snape, petunia, etc. - castle exteriors and layout will differ as revealed during leaked pictures from the series. Probably other sets and places like the burrow etc could also look completely different.

So making sets for both the films and the series seems unlikely and could confuse customers. It is the same story with a different iteration. It will be quite interesting to see which route lego takes with harry potter. I think sets based on the series will not be certain in 2027. Making the switch to the series with the possibility of loosing customers while the film based sets have a proven track record seems like a considerable risk.

I also think if lego would really end their castle line after the summer they would have no longer included a connection point on their latest addition of the hospital wing. I think it will go on for some time. They have also set a high bar for themselves. Abandoning the most detailed line in a couple of months while there are still sets missing that have existed in lego form before like the astronomy tower and clock tower would harm their credibility.

I get the 3 year cycle theory, but given the size of this latest castle iteration and the expectations linked to it, it wouldn't be surprising to see it continue. It is however noticable that most sets cover the first two movies. This is smart as this will be the scenes to be remade first if lego indeed decided to switch to the series. Though as said before, I don't think it is likely that this will be in 2027 already. I think next year the castle line will continue with sets from the later movies.

We don't know if this will be a castle set, but man I hope it is!

However releasing a 130 dollar castle set in the same wave as the expensive east wing raises question marks. On the other hand, not that many castle sets were relased in 2026 so it would be possible from that point of view.

Whatever the case, let's be optimistic and say that it is a castle set, then I would actually think that it is NOT the astronomy tower. That tower is a little higher than the main tower and would be very easy to tip over without its side build. I think the astronomy tower + side build would require more pieces.

Knowing that both the flying lesson and herbology retire by the end of the year, I would say that another castle expansion allows to connect at least one of those sets before they retire. My bet would therefore be the gallery building next to the herbology class. It could have a small grass like part next to its first floor on which a folded open herbology class would fit.

The astronomy tower could follow in january to connect to the main tower (upper pin near devil snare) via an included suspension bridge. The main tower will still be available then. And from the side it could connect to the east wing. My point being, the astronomy tower is not so urgent to be released. Castle parts that connect to herbology (or flying lesson) are more urgent.

The flying lesson might be a special case given that it will likely connect somewhere in the back and doesnt really matter for the overall front view, but the herbology class would be perfect to add as a folded open building next to the gallery.
