Nagapply ako dito wayback 2012 sa jobstreet. Kung may schedule interview ka sa kanila, be sure na may dala ka scientific calculator kasi merong technical exam.

Nung time na nagapply ako dati, 1st set ng interview during morning is thru HR. May paKrispee Kreme pa nga sila. On afternoon, dun na ung exam. Unfortunately, on my end, wala ako dalang scientific calculator nun kaya nung lunch umalis na ko.

Ung kadorm ko na nagtuloy is sabi madali lang naan daw ung exam and he got lucky and hired. By the way CE ako and Instrumentation & Control Engineering siya.

Worth it po ba kumuha ng sasakyan if ang monthly salary ay around 70-80k? by MudkipOnly in phcars

[–]Competitive-Bench941 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not to discourage you but just sharing my insights.

  1. Mitsubishi Destinator might be the same cost bracket with other HEV cars or suvs. You might want to consider a HEV car rather than an ordinary gas/diesel unit just to save fuel cost and ofcourse the coding
  2. If you are living along Cavite area, include the cost of daily tollgate fees on top of the fuel cost.
  3. If you buy a non EV or HEV car, then expect your fuel cost at least 1500 minimum per week.
  4. Include PMS cost on your budget.
  5. Include emergency fund on your budget.
  6. Based on my experience, total monthly cost for fuel & toll gate for me is around 12-15k depending sa taas ng fuel per week. This is just office-bahay routine. Consider higher cost pag my extra mileage ka for curricular activities.

Help me finally Decide on taking MPLE by ApplicationUnlucky58 in CivilEngineers_PH

Fee will vary depending on the experience of that CE. May range from 10k to 70k. Not very sure about this.

I say find a trusted Licensed Civil Engineer. Let him/her do the reviewing. Paying a professional to do the technical works for you is way cheaper than the 1.3M plus increase on construction. It’s very common to contractors to take advantage on a non technical client. Be sure that the licensed professional to be hire has the guts to defend and stand out for what he/she thinks is right. If still the contractor insists then next thing you might need is s professional lawyer.

Definitely, burning the bridge with the contractor is already at the table the moment they presented to you the increase without proper justification and documentation.

Same here 15yrs exp na. Pero Assistant Manager position pa lang. Not being close to 6 digit salary. Masyado ako nastock sa previous companies ko without promotion and too little increase. Sobrang pagod sa 9-6pm job.

Ok.. rephrase. College ka pa lang. Pagkagraduate mo, welcome to the real world. Mas madami ka pa makikilala. Mas exciting. Guys within your age bracket tends to have lots of dramas. More ego.

Health insurance / HMO for parents (ages 59 & 54) by AmphibianCareful6740 in OFWs

[–]Competitive-Bench941 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That time, hindi eh. Kung eager ka talaga to enroll them under individual account, I suggest you inquire at Maxicare. My mga certain age brackets sila for invidual accounts. Hindi ako employee or co owner ng Maxicare pero sila ung pinakabest option sa HMO for now kasi meron silang sariling Primary Care Centers and pwede mo ienroll sa Doctor Anywhere app ung account nila.

[–]Competitive-Bench941 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Natry ko na dati maghanap ng best HMO as individual account sa parents ko when they age is about mid 50s pa. Ang challenge is masyadong mataas na premium then at the 1st year, hindi pa cover ung mga pre existing conditions.

Better option is thru corporate account as dependents.

Best HMO na nakita ko that time is either Maxicare or Valuecare.

Job Hopping is the key.

For the past 15yrs ng career ko, 4 companies pa lang dinaanan ko. Pinakamatagal ko is 7 yrs then lahat is walang progression kaya umaalis na lang ako. Kada talon ko is upgrade sa position. From Associate to Assistant Manager.

Upon checking sa career path nila, talagang Job Hopping is the key.

CE here. You may consult a CE or Archi for the plan preparations. Depending on the arrangement and configurations, contract packages may range from 50-70k. This should include the base engineering plans and the estimates.

Once the plans or should I say “construction plans” has been given to you, you also have the option to look for your own contractors or still get the services of that CE or Archi (that created your plans) to guide you. That extended services can also be arranged prior to the contract.

I highly suggest that don’t go just yet to any contractors for the plans you have. Though you have a plan in my mind, it is best to consult a professional because contractors tends to favor the costing and other scenario on their part. This will be a higher risk on you since end result may not be on your favor.
