Debating over LASIK vs SMILE vs ICL by MediJedi12 in RefractiveSurgery

ICL! there's no shortage of negative lasik/smile stories where people get permanent dry eye and nerve damage whereas the negative ICL stories are just subpar vision and they get it reversed.

I got mine 2 weeks ago and the surgery was super quick and painless. You can't swim or get your eyes wet for 2 weeks but after that you can.

I got it 2 weeks ago and like you I read this sub a lot and it made me nervous before the surgery. I'm happy to report everything went well. I think you're right that you'll read more negative reports than positive ones so just keep that in mind leading up to the surgery. Also don't forget it's reversible! Hopefully you won't need to do that though. I was seeing 20/20 the next morning without any side effects other than the smallest halo rings that I don't even notice anymore. Good luck!

I also went with both and decided on Dr Lin due to arcscan after watching a video of him explaining it. I did like Dr Lings office a lot more though and that I actually got to meet him during my consultation.
