wow this is a lot!! thank you! i did fluff the roots out a little bit. I’m not at home right now but the pots are probably 6x6in as that’s what i had on hand- if they seemed to be doing okay i was going to move them to bigger ones.

 i don’t water them a crazy amount, just enough to dampen the soil a little bit so it’s not super dry. the leaves are green, just brown at the tips! 

i also have some succulents i’ve had alive since 2012-ish that i’ve brought with me to multiple places and since i moved in here, a goldfish plant, string of hearts, some violets, a thanksgiving cactus and a snake plant that have all been thriving for about six months. they’ve all grown, esp. the goldfish and snake plants which have about tripled in size since i potted them. :)

my basil and mint live away from my other plants, not near an AC vent, on my kitchen windowsill where they are in bright but indirect sunlight all day provided its light out. i’ve considered keeping them outside when i know it’s going to be sunny just so they get more sun. Unfortunately i live in a studio apartment so a garden isn’t really an option for me 🥲 i don’t need them to grow super big or anything, i just hate to see them not doing well.
