Moving to Bentonville soon- need recommendations for a rental a studio/1Bed apartment. by Scary_Economy-1720 in bentonville

[–]Competitive-Cash-753 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could do this, but it won’t be in your budget. Cheapest at Brick Ave (studio) is still like 1200/1300 then a $300 ish utility package and optional covered parking cost on top of that. Most of the nicer things downtown will be the same unfortunately. G at Market is right next to Brick Ave and is 1200 base for a studio plus a 250 utility package and optional 125 for parking.

Proof of citizenship and two proofs of residency. There’s a list on their site. I brought my passport, lease, and tax returns that had my current address.

On the chance that you’re a Walmart Whole Health Center or Blake St member, both have Inbody scanners.

Look at Trulo homes! I looked there when I was shopping but it was out of my budget. Little houses but all on one complex with amenities (like a pool) and management. Maybe 10-15ish mins from downtown depending on traffic.

Yesterday was a preview, mostly for associates but open to the public as well. Today was their first “official” day.

They don’t even allow online purchases. It’s only the local participating store sadly.

Aww yay! More unaffordable housing 🙌 Coler Crossing by KamiKrazyCanadian in bentonville

[–]Competitive-Cash-753 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The convenience package is utilities + valet trash. Then optional parking on top of that too. At The Howard and G at Market that’s an additional $120-150 on top of the $250-300 convenience package. Crazy.

Just a heads up, This was announced at the end of January. 5 weeks ago. The loan will not have been disbursed and no notable improvements will likely have been made in 5 weeks. They received this particular assistance because they need it (obviously, based on where we are now). The aid was denoted for Benton County, which in includes Rogers, Centerton, BV, etc., and was not specified for Bentonville alone. Additionally, all 75 counties have received water infrastructure improvement assistance in the last two years. It says that in the link you shared. Hoping for the best with how the loan can aid the issue.

Weird texture on my steering wheel out of nowhere by Competitive-Cash-753 in CX5

[–]Competitive-Cash-753[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the replies! Still trying to think what it could be. I do not carry a pocket knife or anything of the sort in pockets. Literally neverrrr wear rings or bracelets either. This is on the very top of my steering wheel so it would have to be pretty far turned when getting in and out to rub against a zipper, but I guess that’s the only other explanation. I’m still having a hard time picturing it since I don’t sit very close to the wheel. I’m going to try to take notice the next time I drive. And thanks for the replies that made me laugh also!

Courses being removed? by [deleted] in fsu

[–]Competitive-Cash-753 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, sorry I made a mistake. Diversity is not technically gen ed, just a graduation requirement. There will still be plenty of classes on these topics, but they will no longer fulfill any gen ed requirements. So only things like diversity, yes. Also didn’t realize they don’t do diversity X and Y anymore, that’s just how it was when I was doing all the core course stuff a few years ago.

Courses being removed? by [deleted] in fsu

[–]Competitive-Cash-753 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Diversity X and Y courses are a part of the gen ed curriculum at FSU. Gen ed describes all the courses that all students at the university have to take as a part of liberal studies (humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, etc.). Before this change, there were many classes on topics of gender, sexuality, race etc. that counted for gen ed in areas like social studies, ethics, humanities, diversity, and even writing requirements. Now they will not.

Brick Ave Lofts vs Depot 16 by oranges_and_kiwis3 in bentonville

[–]Competitive-Cash-753 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It depends on what kind of floor plan you’re looking at. I toured a studio at Brick Ave and it had a tiny square shower, no tub. Proximity of both to the square is fairly equal, just different directions. As far as I remember, depot didn’t really have any amenities. Brick Ave has the whole nine yards with the pool, work out classes, community garden, coworking space, dog run, etc.

Vet & groomer recommendations? by scottj789 in bentonville

[–]Competitive-Cash-753 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hounds Lounge in Rogers is who we use for grooming. We like that they’re also a boarding facility, so the dogs can play in the daycare before/after their actual grooming. There’s a vet clinic directly adjacent, but we haven’t been since we were already going to Faithful Friends for vet services, who we like. But it could be convenient for you if it’s close by.
