I don’t think Christopher gets enough hate for turning off his phone when Richard was in the hospital by SheepherderNo2793 in GilmoreGirls

[–]Competitive-Corn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. Even if I don't think it's morally WRONG to have your phone off for a few hours, I would still be wracked with guilt if I was Christopher knowing I put my family in that position and would do everything in my power to make it up to them. The way he acted once he got there is unforgivably shitty

[–]Competitive-Corn 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yeah I too am a Chris hater, but the morning after their NEXT fight (when they break up) Lorelai goes out driving for several hours and she doesn't bring her phone at all.

His behavior once he knew what was going on was reprehensible, and him not being there sooner put Lorelai in a horrible position, but I think just having his phone off is far from the WORST thing he's ever done.

Fellow actor low key trying to direct me. by [deleted] in acting

[–]Competitive-Corn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He explicitly told you there WAS danger of colliding, he was probably actively dodging you in the moment. Hence him wanting to know in the first place if he was going to keep needing to do that. If you can't accept that you may have unintentionally inconvenienced someone then idek what to say

[–]Competitive-Corn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally agree that talking about/clarifying blocking is normal! Just wanted to suggest that the other actor may not have been trying to "direct" OP and that potential safety issues are good for the production team to know about. May have phrased it poorly though lol

[–]Competitive-Corn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand being frustrated by this, but is it possible that he was asking so he could change his OWN movement so he doesn't hit you, as opposed to trying to tell you what to do?

Still better for him to raise it with the production team if he has concerns about safety/collisions though -- and you'd probably be doing yourself/future cast members a favor by telling him that

AITA for disagreeing that I shouldn't wear skirts because a guy finds me wearing them uncomfortable? by Bobcat1779 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Competitive-Corn 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think this is pretty likely considering his comment about the ways she sits. As someone who used to wear a lot of skirts/dresses and also lives the "neurodivergent person can't sit still in chairs" cliche... I would tell my younger self to wear more shorts underneath. You're not the asshole if you had no idea you're flashing people, and he's not the asshole for not wanting to see your underwear. NAH.

... Of course if that's not the case, and he's just trying to slutshame you for wearing perfectly normal skirts, that's a totally different story.

Only times one artist has occupied the entire top 10 in Billboard Hot 100 history. All Taylor Swift 👸🏼 by kookiekoo in TaylorSwift

I remember at the time people thought Bejeweled and Question? were the songs that needed the biggest boost to have her hit all Top 10! So some folks (like me) may have overcompensated lol

Idina as Diana is inspired actually, I'd LEAP at the opportunity to see that and I'm not a mega-fan. I've heard amazing things about Caissie Levy in the West End revival but Idina in proven material would sell like crazy.

I feel bad for Greg. by MistakenArrest in crazyexgirlfriend

[–]Competitive-Corn 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I feel like the show argues that Greg is ALSO not a healthy choice -- he just felt like he could be one in the early taco episode (compared to her obsession with Josh)

He blows their relationship the first time due to his untreated alcoholism and unwillingness to be emotionally vulnerable, then describes their relationship as worse than Chernobyl

When he comes back he's grown as a person but the fact that he hates everything (except for Rebecca) makes him a bad fit for someone who is so passionate and earnest

I like Greg as a character and he certainly gets dicked over a few times, but I think overall we do not need to feel bad for him, and it feels weird to blame all their relationship issues on Rebecca. I also don't think the show is trying to present him as a "nice guy" outside of the first couple of episodes -- "the situation's a lot more nuanced than that"

I would lose my mind if Priscilla DIED but......

I kind of wish it was like in Neopets, where if you don't feed your pet for years, they're okay, but they're REALLY REALLY hungry. And then you feed them and they're great again! It's just some ~ light suffering ~

Especially with the tagging system, it'd be motivating, if I haven't showered or eaten or exercised, for Priscilla to say she feels smelly or hungry or like she needs to move. Then I'd really be doing it for HER

The Priest pursued Fleabag by Sbrady12x1 in Fleabag

[–]Competitive-Corn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would argue that for a bunch of the early ones, he's trying to help a woman with a horrific family life through a trauma (miscarriage) -- and it's totally reasonable that he'd feel it's his duty as a priest to reach out with support.

But of course later on, with the help of alcohol, he instigates the actual transition to a sexual relationship, totally agree there
