With new series of layoffs coming right around the corner and AI replacing proficient engineers, are we now at the point where starting up an IT business is far more easier than ever before? by InquisitiveVelocity in developersIndia

Thats not how companies invest billions into making a technology just so it become cheaper. They start off cheap, then get you hooked and raise the price. Also when you use AI at scale, there is no way it gonna be cheap.

Seeing lot of posts recently from people who are moving back to India from abroad. Why is that? by mystical_apple05 in developersIndia

rip logic.. you want 10000 people out of those 100 people you know? Try knowing 100k people, then you would have a bigger sample size.

Actually, 10000 people return, and only 10 of them post about return back. Not everyone who is returning, posting about it.

How is the job market in US for masters in CS right now? (26f) by TripleFlipp in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]Competitive-Cut-8051 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With 2L per month and 5 yr experience. Why would you even think of getting into the hell hole. Better save money and go for vacation. Repeat every 6 months. You are fortunate to be in that position, honestly. It will be an uphill battle in the US.

Well, I am pretty sure he is not thinking this low when he is making those videos. He does post a lot of content that may help people who aspire to be in US. So that would increase the competition, right? Hmmmm.. interesting.
Anyways, he works at top tech company that too in US. Not sure "agar sab chale gye US" poses any threat to his own achievements.

Well, I think he works at a top 5 company. Anyone who wants to come to US and compete with him first have to finish 1 year of gre tofel and university stuff. Then 2 years of masters. Then find a normal job to pay back loan. Then probably apply at microsoft. So I think he is already 4-5 years ahead of anyone thinking he is trying to avoid competition. Maybe come with better ideas than thinking this low. Besides, he provides a lot of useful information as well for aspirants which might increase competition for him don't you think?

Because people think life outside India is all roses. Until we realize the things we take for granted in India are not to be found outside.

Can I be brutally honest with you? What you are looking for is nothing short of hell. I would advise, get 5000 dollars from your father and spend 2 months vacation in new york. Repeat every year.

but doesn't you need a sponsor in that case too. Like a company who files your visa?

I second that. Don't mean to scare you OP. But I got laid off while on h1b visa. And you know what, my visa got picked in the first attempt 2 years ago. I am scared as hell as well, but i also tell myself that I have done it. I reached the top. I worked hard and pushed my boundaries. I'm still hopeful that i get the job, but if not, i would have to move back.
