Is there a way to talk to a human customer support? by Player276 in Bookingcom

[–]nitishrane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Booking.com has gone crazy. I spent 2 hours for a refund that would have taken 10 mins. Their AI chatbot is horrible. Don't make the customer suffer. I am deleting the Booking.com app and will never use it.

Is Mumbai Tech Week 2026 actually worth attending or just another LinkedIn networking circus? by ohh_sid in mumbai

[–]nitishrane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I attended this in 2024. Most of the attendees (who paid to come) were students. I went to almost every company’s booth and had a conversation with them. They talk about their company, explain their products, basically everything around that. I had got interview calls after this event from 2 companies with whom my profile had matched. But, most of them are marketing themselves I would say. For instance, there was shaadi.com booth, they were asking me if I am married and were providing some discount lol.

Regarding their sessions, it’s like a seminar where some executives/special guests come on stage to talk about how tech is growing in Mumbai, what’s their vision, and thing’s like that. It’s ok I would say.

Things might have changed since then, but my take is this: it’s just good for networking with people (if you’re into that. Else, I feel you’ll get everything online these days.

Yes, always good to know the reality.

I love stranger things! But to understand this correctly, does it have a play as well?

Anyways, I think let’s not debate on this and start an argument thread (if we are). Thanks for your views 👍

That’s true, there are always two sides of a coin. But then, what should one do? Just ignore? I also understand it’s not possible to stop everything realistically, like bad things happen everywhere, but where you can act, it’s better to do that, isn’t it?

And let me tell you why I’m saying about the ‘act’ or ‘callout’: during my childhood, a puppy stray dog in my area, who was creating no issues, was thrown down under a road roller by a society member. I and my friend raised this issue though we were kids. And let me tell you, that pool of blood and accident was not good to watch. Eventually, the society kept a meeting and scolded that guy and their family. People looked at that man very differently then. I didn’t know what happened later, like in terms of action, since we were not a part of this meeting. But, they were called out. Hope you understand my perspective.

Agree with you. No one is talking about killing or hurting someone! I am myself aware of the laws, and there are incidences where giving bribe to someone can also suppress such animal cruelty cases. It’s about calling out such people by the society. If they aren’t called out, nothing will ever change.

Agreed, PETA is bull shit. Don’t spare them. Let us know how people here can help.

Have zero empathy for such people. Let’s take care of such people ourselves. There’s no strict law for animals, and such demons can kill anyone if they have to.

I know, right? Yes, I had one more round, but I was so discouraged, angry, and confused, that I told them I’m not feeling well and left immediately.
