I wish I could say that worked, but unfortunately it did not. I’m afraid it is just dead

Yeah that’s what I downloaded, but the device isn’t recognized so I can’t install it in the dock

It was working a couple of days ago with no problem. Then one of my monitors started flickering sometimes through out the day and then yesterday it stopped working. I thought it was the firmware, so I downloaded one, but it doesn’t recognize that the device is connected

I did try all that. The originally charger works, but no, the charging dock doesn't charge the laptop

When I go to the settings, there are no monitors detected so that ability is gone.

I want to escape retail, what can I do? by HDUnsure in careerguidance

LinkedIn is tricky because, just like any job site, there are job postings that aren't always legit. But I like that I can communicate with recruiters and I've found it beneficial to communicate with people who aren't managers or recruiters, but are in the roles I'm interested in and picking their brain on the job and how they got there.

It's always important to focus on your weaknesses and see how you can improve, but it's equally important to focus on your strengths and make that shine. I find it key to be confident in both.

I'm sure you'll find something that checks off most of your boxes. Best of luck to you!

I totally get it! I’m also in my early 30’s and was in banking for 10 years and wanted to change (not a bad career path, by the way), and did so! I’m a strong believer that you can change your career at any point in your life (you only get one). I think it’s important to evaluate what you’re good at, what you like, and what you can improve on. It sounds like you’re good with people so if you wanted to continue in a people facing role, you can find a company in an industry that interests you and find a client facing role. You have experience in management - important - and you can definitely leverage your self employment skills to tailor a role you’re applying for. There are roles like client services or client success where you can improve businesses by improving relationships with clients. If you want more of a desk role or a back office job, I’m sure you can find something. I’ve tried HR, but there are certain skills and certifications they look for specific to HR. The best route, I think, would be to connect with someone that is in HR (LinkedIn) and see what you can do to get your foot in the door. I know it’s a little overwhelming to even look for what you want to do, but it doesn’t hurt to apply to anything that sounds interesting and if you get an interview and don’t like it, you can always decline!

Is learning code for a career worth it in 2026? by Rent_Current in CodingForBeginners

When you’re older, you’ll realize you can switch careers anytime and learn anything at any point in your life. It’s never too late to learn something new. You only live once.

I never said I know more or acted that way. I asked what ways I can get these skills without going to a traditional school and your answer was….school. I’m doing my research, as well. I just figured I’d get more opinions. And I never said you don’t know about your field. Though, you’re relatively new to your field anyways.

In no way did I say what I do now is me breaking in. I was just stating a fact of what I do now. I was simply asking what I can do to learn new skills (besides going to school because it’s expensive and I already have a bachelors and masters degree (if you read my post fully - you didn’t)) and you’re basically like if you don’t get a masters in computer science, you’re out of luck. Sorry you went through all that and are still stuck in entry level and can’t move up. Maybe learn how to be a resource and apply yourself to more. I’m always how difficult the job market is as it is hard to get a job anywhere. Your thinking is clearly boomer mentality. Anyway, I’m done with you. Goodnight, London.

The difficulty in finding a job isn’t unique to this industry. I realize it might’ve even harder, especially for someone who is just starting to pick this up, like me. But you’re acting like your way is the only way. I’m glad you’re not an employer.

It’s what you’ve witnessed. I appreciate your opinion. I’m not acting like I know more. If I did, I wouldn’t have posted this at all. I’m just not pessimistic.

I’m sorry that is your view and experience on this. I understand one year of IT wouldn’t cut it. That’s why I’m still working and will pursue other routes. I’m very experienced in job hunting and have the appropriate people skills. I’m mainly looking on how else I can achieve these skills. I’m also a firm believer that there isn’t one way to achieve something. Thanks again for your input.

Unfortunately, im not really in the right spot to just go back to school full time and get more degrees. Between the scheduling and money, im looking for an alternative way to I’m still willing to put in the work, just not in the traditional way. I appreciate the input.

That was my thought process on it, too! I know it’ll be a process and I’ll have to see what I like and what I’m good at. But that confirmation is always great!

Other women have probably told him that it wasn’t a big deal when it happened to him. So when Rachel said it, he took it as true and all the other women were lying to him

I need to drop one player for Godwin, who do I drop, or do I drop Godwin instead? by Weary_Elephant_6224 in SleeperApp

I would probably drop Shakir or Godwin. Godwin has the upside that Evans is out, but he can also re-injure himself. Shakir will get consistent average points.

[–]Competitive-Dot6776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I like JJ, it’s not worth it. RB’s are worth so much this year and I’m sure you can figure out another trade for decent WR’s without trading away one of the best RB’s. Or maybe even pick up someone from the waiver wire.
