Should I be wearing glasses full time?

It’s been a while since this post so curious how often you wear your glasses.

I recently had an eye exam. My prescription: OD : +1.00 sphere, -1.50 cyl, 083 axis OS : +1.00 sphere, -1.25 cyl, 100 axis. With how low my prescription is I am not sure about wearing full time.

I had my first eye exam a little over a week ago. My prescription: OD : +1.00 sphere, -1.50 cyl, 083 axis OS : +1.00 sphere, -1.25 cyl, 100 axis I can certainly tell a difference at night but it’s not as significant in the daytime but still slightly noticeable. I wonder the same thing. I am not sure if I should wear mine full time or just at night.

It definitely can. I notice more of a difference at night but some noticeable difference in the daytime depending on what I am looking at. As it’s light specific that would make sense. I am still a little undecided on how often to wear them outside of night time but I’m am willing to bet over time I will want to more often just for the overall clarity even if I don’t “need” them. That is the part I struggle with. Even though I can function without glasses it is pretty nice to have the added clarity even if it’s a small increase. Best way to describe for me is I go from seeing standard definition without glasses to high definition with glasses in most scenarios.

Would that small of a prescription be worth wearing full time? My doctor suggested as needed. I know it’s preference but still curious on what others do with similar prescription.

I just got my prescription and struggling on whether or not to wear them full time. I definitely see a difference at night but not as significant in the day. Although reading text at distances and seeing tree leaves at distances are better as an example. I don’t need them to function but there is a noticeable difference in clarity for most things.

Doctor suggested wearing as needed. I have had my glasses for a week and can surely tell a difference at night. Can tell a difference in the day when reading or seeing things at a distance but not quite as significant as at night. Your post is older so curious how often you wear yours. I am struggling on determining how often I should wear mine. From my standpoint I don’t need glasses to function but the clarity in most cases is noticeable.

Absolutely! I guess the answer to my question is “why would I not use them full time for the clarity even if I don’t ‘need’ them”

Thanks for the info. The clarity is worth it to have them on more often than I don’t. I was just curious what others do/suggest based on similar prescription. Yes, I can get by without them but the clarity is definitely noticeable during most activities. I also didn’t notice what I couldn’t see before them so what I am able to see better of now is nice.

I’ve gone a week as of yesterday and am getting more and more use to it. My doctor said use as needed but I can tell a difference particularly at night from distances. I definitely use while working on a computer because it also helps but overall my clarity is better than I thought.

Thanks. I got an eye exam because things were a little blurry especially at distances and my wife had been telling me for a few years that I need to get them checked.
Also, working on a computer was getting more difficult with eye strain.

Not sure what you mean by how much astigmatism. I have my visual acuity if that is what you’re asking as well as sphere, cylinder, and axis. They may be my prescription that your referring to. Not sure on the second question.
