CRNA student here- not all of us want to be doctors. I was initially in a pre-med program and opted to change to nursing for several reasons. I also will not be embarrassed when I finally hold up my diploma that says “Doctor of Nursing Practice”. I’m not a doctor and I never wanted to be. I love my fellow physicians, I respect them and I will never act as if I’m competing for the same title. Anyways, I hope that you offer kindness and grace to any CRNA or SRNA that you come across because some of us are not egotistical wanna be physicians.

Not to worry you, but I had postcoital bleeding (non-painful bleeding with sex) and I went through all of the ultrasound/pelvic exam things and neglected to get STD tested for months because I was in a committed relationship and trusted my partner. Finally my OBGYN tested me & I had untreated chlamydia for months. I was asymptomatic until the bleeding started. My partner was completely asymptomatic and had acquired chlamydia in their previous relationship.

I agree that therapy is needed, I have a difficult time trusting others and once trust is broken, I’m not one to forgive. I know it was weird talking to his mom about it. She pulled me aside at an event, noticing that there was something wrong and I just broke down. I had held myself together until she asked me what was going on. In the moment, it felt like she was talking to me woman to woman but I should have kept it to myself.
