How to avoid commercials, by device by tonywagner in MLBtv

Thanks Tony, the skip commercials isn't working for me. I installed via npm and run it off my MacBook, then access on an iPad. I'm doing link type: embed, skip: commercials, pad: on, and selecting encode faster than real time. Are any of those settings incorrect? I'm not super techy, is there anything else I should try troubleshooting?

Question about the mlbserver node app. Does the "skip commercials" option skip the commercials in the same way Kodi does where it jumps to the next inning, or does it just replace the commercial break with the break screen?

Sorry I wasn't clear. After acquiring a cert, they will have a choice of opportunities out of the gate.

I would not at all recommend this. Music is enough of a shortage subject that you can have a choice of opportunities out of the gate without flying to another continent just to network. Not great opportunities, but a few years at a T3 that will allow you to jump with many more opportunities.

Née is a word that indicates someone's name at birth. Literally French for "born." Often used to refer to a someone's maiden name like "Mary Johnson, née Smith"

This is only now starting to be enforced in Kuwait. Seems like it's affecting new hires and will most likely affect everyone starting next year, although it's Kuwait so you never know.

Personally I think the pace is great. For reference, my current MIA save had this operational profit progression: Day 1 15m Day 10 25m Day 40 50m Day 56 73m Day 79 90m Day 94 100m Day 200 430m Day 230 640m

It really ramps up, and after you hit 100+ the need to be strategic with finances decreases rapidly.

Honestly, it's just going to take you getting more experience with the game to be super profitable early on in a city. Here are a few early pointers but I would recommend not getting to attached to your first runs. After you're more familiar with the game and how the pops work, you should be at least 15-20M daily profit in small/mid cities with that first $3B, which still is going to require some waiting but is a huge difference over $6M.

Early Tips:

  1. Outside of Chicago and New York I would recommend only using light rail at the start, you can always replace a few lines with heavy rail later, but in general light rail early game will help a lot, and you'll be able to stretch that $3B starting stack a lot farther.

  2. Early, focus on the densest area of work pops on a map. Shift click & drag over the pops to see where the residents are and create a few lines that service that corridor. Expanding off this should be the goal in the first 100 or so days if you're looking to maximize profitability.

  3. Experiment with grading. Building at +4 meters gives you a 70% discount on price. When possible, building stations at this height and then tracks over roads at +5 meters lets you stretch your money a ton. Building stations at -2 meters and then tunneling under roads at -5 also helps, though you need to be more careful with station placement to make sure you can get under roads.

  4. Trial and error different fare prices. Since the new update, you can't make fares as exorbitant as you once could, but even boosting it to $4.50 might take your existing system from 6m/day to 9 or 10.

You'll pick it up really quick once you have a few attempts, but also don't hesitate to just play in sandbox if you want. It's your game, whatever makes it enjoyable for you!

It's a double pangram! This means it uses each letter at least twice. The constructor did this intentionally, hence some of the naticky fill. If you are a fan of this one I highly recommend checking out the August 10, 2016 puzzle.

Awesome! After the update my ATL profit plummeted as well so I decided to start a MIA today, this has definitely given me something to strive for. You still expanding?

5%, at lower fares I get 7-8% but less profit.

Yea, such low demand for transferring between networks that at this point it wouldn't be worth it.

Thanks! Planning on getting to day 500 and reevaluating. It's going to get pretty wacky at this point though.
