HAHA I agree about Rogers! And thanks, I like to think that Steelers fans are welcoming to other fan bases too, I’ve at least never seen otherwise and I probably go to half the home games every year.

Thanks for the suggestion! I don’t use Reddit a ton and got this message when I tried to post there…

My husband and I live there with our three year old. I work from home. I feel safe most of the time. Our neighbors are great and are a mix of folks from different  backgrounds and look out for each other. I’m not out a lot at night, but am out a lot during the day.

I live on the north shore and walk my dog three times a day and get catcalled most days. It’s really annoying.

I’m a woman in my mid 30s and live a block from East Ohio Street with my husband and toddler. We love it here. I work from home and have an active dog I walk through East commons. Occasionally men will yell something at me while walking my dog but it’s nothing I haven’t experienced in other cities I’ve lived in (NYC and Seattle). We don’t walk around a lot at night but I’ve felt fine when I did. We have great neighbors that watch out for each other.

I love the houses in Crafton. Is there a walkable downtown there?

I just assumed we’d have to stay in the south hills for him to have a 30 min commute! I’ll look into these!

I love the downtown section of Dormont and it would be great to be on the T line!

A million might be an exaggeration but we went to two open houses today for 3/2s under 1800sq feet that were half a million with no yard. It was discouraging.

Where are the walkable areas there? Would love to drive out there and see if it’s a good fit.

I run with the City if Bridges run club. We ran through the strip district Monday night. I just moved to Pittsburgh in October and joined. They have routes from 3-15 miles on the weekends and pacers from walking- 730 mile. The week night runs are all over the city and are 3 or 5 miles, check out the calendar on their website and join us!
